I was able to get a Walk-up registration number for the event by going to their Facebook site and messaging them. Looks like I'll be there.

I’m looking for some advice from you guys who are good with doing your own wiring of lights.
The light bar I installed 3-4 years ago is now randomly flickering while the rocker switch is off. The flickering is mostly dimmed lighting with an occasional full lit flash. Almost like a strobe light effect. If I flip the switch to on, the light bar works as designed. Never had an issue with this before. I’m guessing a few things. It’s a cheaper Amazon light, so it’s flaking out on me OR I noticed some condensation inside the bar the other day, and with the rain yesterday and today, it’s causing a shortage, OR I have a short somewhere else that is causing the light to pull energy even though it’s turned off at the switch.
Any suggestions on where I should start trying to trace and track down the problem? Im thinking I should let it dry out first and see if that eliminates the problem before I start tracing wires and what not.
    Any thoughts guys.
    Thanks
(I have disconnected power to prevent any potential hazards till I resolve this issue)

My guess is the switch. The power has to go through the switch first. If it's on a relay, that's the other possibility.

First thing I would try is a new relay. What might’ve happened is moisture got inside and is intermittently shorting the contacts.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
As long as there is a Fuse inline, and there are not any bare wires…the worst that could happen is you look like a disco ball going down the road until the fuse goes lol

Always chase the wires to ensure no insulation has worn thru. Fires happen when things rub, outer sheath gets a cut, then the hot wire begins arching against metal.

A faulty relay was actually my first thought as well. The switch is so simple that it is unlikely the culprit. Your theory of a short inside the light is not out of the realm of possibility, but I'd start by following the wires to see if they are worn through anywhere. As JB said, a fire could wreck your day. If the wires look good, I'd replace the relay and go from there. When things dry out, I'd disassemble the bar and reassemble with some silicone to seal it up nicely. Let it dry out while it is open so that you don't trap any condensation in there.

Thanks. This is where I miss having a garage to park in, lol.
I did all the wiring, so I color coded all the different sets of wires for each different auxiliary light by using small pieces of colored electrical tape, before I tucked everything away neatly. Now I have to remember my own work since it’s been awhile.
Won’t be Saturday since I’m gearing up to celebrate college football kickoff

    Prices aren’t down enough haha.

Sadly even what I have invested in this one is still over $1k less than some comparable ‘kits’ out there. Pricing for playsets (like everything else) has sky rocketed. Most of them are made of flimsy 1x3 boards with 3x3 framing.

My preference was to build my own anyway. The wife was fully on board once I showed her prices and what we could do if she gave me creative licensing.

The right side. I put a swing set on the left. Slide will come straight out the middle and will likely add a zip line out the climbing wall side at some point.

If the weather holds out I’ll be getting the roof and front knee wall on over the holiday weekend.

These are awesome…work well on my FJC and Runner. Works on 2nd Gen tacos, however doesn’t work with my 3rd Gen keyless :(

    Big Thank You

Rhett was able to come out and work his magic. I had two dents, a monster in my tailgate and one in my door. The door came out perfect! The tailgate one is a LOT better (one of those where you know it’s there but others wouldn’t notice) was in a really bad spot very close to the bottom seam. I honestly didn’t even think anything could be done with it. If any of you other folks need PDR Rhett is excellent, and a really nice guy too.

    Thank you!

PSA these little bastards are terrible around Atlanta right now and will eat your lawn quick. Don't assume brown patch is heat related or grass turning for the season.

Yep, I just put another round of pesticides in our yards because of them. They destroyed my parents’ yard (and a bunch of their neighbors’)over in Alabama, supposedly it’s real bad over there.

Does anyone have a set of gauges for adding refrigerant to the A/C?
