On my 1st gen I am, helped a lot. Not sure if that'll help you since I think you're a 2nd gen. But I think it's worth the upgrade unless you are bone stock and don't pull anything (which obviously you aren't)

Yea I’m aware of their chart. But I’ve read about a lot of folks having major variances in lift in the RXT thread.

Don’t know for sure. Probably around 200#.

Per the Icon chart I should go with option 2. But again, folks with similar setups have reported different results. That and I don’t wanna end up with a covered wagon rough ride when crawling the mall.

    Same crap everyone else got
At a certain point when I added lift shackles to the rear 4in springs on my 4runner my shocks were at max extension at ride height. They were actually too short so they acted at a limit strap and made my rear squat just at ride height. If you have this problem then yes your shocks are too short. If they are maxing out only when you go full droop and not at ride height and allow for some down travel then you aren't maxed out and they are probably fine. Optimal? Maybe not and you could probably use a little more length to take full advantage of the travel in your rear suspension but that's up to you.

Now that's how you get groceries! Rain on the gravel road to the soccer complex? No problem for this mom. Hold my latte while I demoralize this volunteer referee.

(obviously, I'm not poking fun AT you....more WITH you)

Truth. My brother in law took us to a rock climbing wall in Wyoming in their stock subaru wagon. I don't recall which version it was, but it wasn't the forrester. When I say rock wall, I mean legit rock wall....not some indoor complex.

Best pic I can find on Google of the place:
    upload_2021-12-1_14-57-38.jpg

There were a couple of lifted 4runners, a tacoma, a couple lifted chebys and us....in the mom wagon. I felt the bottom scrape twice on the trail leading up to the base area. Zero fox given that day. Apparently they go there regularly too.

I suppose I could look at my google photos to find some from the actual rock face.

I forget how they rate it, but that spot apparently goes from the least extreme pitch to one of the most extreme and almost everything in between. Neither of us were comfortable with going any higher. Yet some crazy dude went up it in a couple of minutes and would spiderman from one side to the other. I can't remember if he was freebasing it or if he had a harness.

Yup. With AWD and 8.7” of ground clearance on most all the models, they’re pretty capable vehicles as is. Add some proper tires and good line choice and they become even more deceptive.

I decided to see how the eibachs go and if it works then cool. If not I'll be looking at the extended length bilstiens. Headstrong has to not terrible expensive. It just when I was looking at shock lengths these eibachs have more travel than stuff like to fox 2.0 rear shocks which cost a good bit more. There is a thread on here about rear shocks, lengths, travel, etc and the eibachs are as good or better than most of the list. The only thing better was WAY more expensive

Our Honda dealership is a family owned place. They own this, a BMW, and subaru store. I'm friends with guys at all three stores and they tell me even the new models have oil leak problems. It's like you can't make a boxer engine seal. They have some cvt transmission problems too. And strictly my opinion but really don't think they preform that much better than the awd hondas and toyotas.

Yea there have been some issues. Ours has been problem free. My sis did have one with some serious engine/oil issue, but Subaru did her right. Bought it back at MSRP and hooked her up on next one.

Completely not truck related, but has anyone ever had a corn on the bottom of their foot.
Holy shit, I have baby feet and have played all kinds of sports. This has to be the most chronic painful shit I have dealt with.
