All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
It was rough getting a couple things from him for sure. I think making a racket to hold a switch pro is the way to go.
I swear I saw someone in here do that. I think it was Brad @BadgerBoy who put his controls up there.

In other news, I finally picked up a dash cam. Now to get it installed.

I started messing around with a insert adhesive panel that would hold the gang switch but the Voswitch doesnt fit well if I still wanted it to fold. Alot easier to just design a insert for the sunglasses holder than the cubby itself. Back to the drawing board.

I really dont want to go with a panel with solid state relays since they cant really be replaced if they die.

Yeah Cataloochee is a great day trip park. Anything more than a day trip I'd go to Beech/Sugar for sure. I'll have to check out Wolf Ridge and others that are further away since I'm getting into it a lot more

We'll have to plan something later in the year. Just a bit too busy right now, our last trip was super last minute haha

I know it's a little further out but snowshoe WV is the closest thing in the SE to skiing out west you can find. You can usually find a 1 br condo on AIRBNB for pretty cheap that is located at the top by a lift so you literally walk out from the condo to the lift. Beech/Sugar is better than Cataloochee but still small and short. Snowshoe is much larger and longer (not a keystone or vail by any means) but much larger than anything else in the SE. But it's also 2x the distance to drive. You can also find deals for 3 day lift tickets there for like $150. But again it's 2x the drive just to get there.....
Living in CO has ruined the little SE ski areas for me... It sounds snobbish but the heart wants what the heart wants haha.

The difference in Snoeshoe was the orientation of the lifts, like you said. At most resorts, you ride the lift up the mountain and ski back down. My experience at Snowshoe was that you ride down the mountain and take the lift back up.

It's been 10 years since I rode Sugar. Probably 15 since Snowshoe. Guessing 20 years since Beech.

I went with some buddies from college to Snowshoe. I was the only chump who didn't have my own board and the rental cost me like $150. The next time I was in Colorado I bought a Burton and figured 3 uses and it would pay for itself. Now I just need to use it again. Wife had leg surgery on Friday, so we probably won't get to go anywhere this year.

You're correct. Most places you park at the bottom and ride up. If I can recall, Snowshoe you could access a lift from the condo/lot area and make a run down. Then from there you can ride the lift back up to that spot or take another lift that will take you to other runs higher up.

One of my buddies broke his arm over by the condos. Or maybe that's when we figured out it was broken. I really don't remember much of that trip. It was right after I graduated and before I had a job. That combined with how long ago it was....

I do remember there being another ski resort in the area that did night skiing. That was a blast too!

By the time night rolls around, I'm in no condition to ski anymore haha. Best thing about skiing is you don't need ice to keep the beers cold in the backpack.

My friend was talking about next year taking a longer trip up to WV and snowboard for a like a week. So it's definitely in the plans. Yup grew up in CO parents never took us because it was so expensive for 6 people plus my dad was the only one who had been so it may not have been very fun. Plus we were always busy with stuff, but eventually I'll make it back up there and hit the slopes

Finally picking up my truck on Saturday in Chattanooga. This is our first time buying new. A little scared, a lot excited.

Hoping to make it to Skottles and Bottles on Sunday. Is anyone else planning to attend?

I need to get my windshield replaced. Having safelite come to work would be convenient (working down off FIB/I-20) but not 100% necessary. Other than them does anyone have any metro Atl suggestions/ experiences?

I had some super sketch Romanian dudes replace mine because I was out of pocket and they were like $100 less than anywhere else. I'll probably go safelite next time around. They got me in and out quickly and didn't try to sell me any extra nonsense. I ended up giving them a good review on google even. That said, I've noticed over time that the glass isn't quite the same shape as the OEM glass....it is either flat or depressed in the middle at the top, and they used too much glue on one side. Too much is better than not enough, but you can see it from inside the cab if you look closely. They also used a sawzall to cut out the old windshield.

If your north side near Cartersville, I usually use First Class Auto Glass, though safelite did leave my friend some free suction cups one time
