All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Damn, well onto another ride. Yeah unfortunately like Danny said, they total these things and part them out when the airbags go. I have seen a car totaled where the body appeared fine but all the bags deployed. Was a clean used land cruiser, but no love from insurance.

and yes, that was me. I have seen a similar taco like mine on the hwy coming back the mtns. Had a GFC and was cement.

I also rolled up next to a guy in one, in which I think I scared him as he thought I wanted to race lol

Morning y’all, so I got to give props to Rich @Stormpeacock for coming over yesterday to update my tune.

This is by far the BEST UPGRADE I have done to my truck.

I just got off the road after the new tune and it is a huge improvement!

I will post more on this when I am not eating country fried steak ;)

Good question. I am not sure regarding 2nd gens, but I never had an issue with my 2nd gen. If one was gonna weigh it down, the best upgrade was 4.88s. They don’t exhibit the same issue the 3rd gens do with shift patterns and such.

yes we can flash most Second gens. to JBs point, they don’t neeed them the same way the third gens do — not as dramatic. It will definitely help you punch it some more though

Figured I would throw this out there. I am hiring a Foreman position for my landscape biz here intown.

Job is laid back, and your basically your own boss…besides me. Wake up, eat breakfast, come pick up the truck and go service a few yards intown.

    Job Description:
    - $25/hr (paid $150 cash daily)
    - 4/5 days a week, 5hr days
    - Valid License and can drive a truck.
    - Capable to operating a Mower, Weed Trimmer, Hedger and Blower.
    - Capable of bending over to pick up sticks/debris.
    - Person should be detail oriented, and proud of their work. This is not a job for the lazy, and I don’t put up with BS.

    Know anyone?

She's okay, wasn't her fault, and kids weren't in the car so yeah it sucks but I think it was atleast the best circumstances if it had to happen. Little vw GTI that decide it wanted to do a 180 and cross 3 lanes to make an illegal u will probably be totalled too.
Just a huge pain in the ass to deal with now. I just know I'll be fighting insurance for the value.
2016 4wd sr5 premium with 42000 miles. Suggestions on what I should expect on payout?
Also just random stuff like now needed to get new car seat bc they have been in an accident.
Having to find a new 4runner for the wife that's exactly like the old one. This blue color isn't easy to find.

Just a huge pain bc of someone else's stupidity.

Oh yeah, it’s a pain to deal with an automobile accident. Again, glad that your wife is unhurt and your children weren’t in the vehicle.
Remember that your insurance company (any insurance company) is looking out for themselves. You pay them, make sure you get some value for your money.

Here’s a link for an appraisal company in case you need it.

Yeah I saw that wreck. Apparently I wasn’t far behind you on the road… sucks man, I have gave dude in the VW the finger and a few choice words as I watched him limp off the road. What a douche…wish the runner would have straight plowed that dumbass into the ground.
    What an f’tard.

also told the cop that I drove closely by that the VW was acting like UTurns are things people can just do at will…

At a quick glance it looks like they are selling around $32-36k, so I'd be finding comparable vehicles and pushing them until you got that + tax/tag/title fees.

NADA retail plus t/t/l. I used to handle total loss claims for a major ins co. That was the basis of every offer that wasn’t a specialty vehicle (like modified for people with disabilities type stuff), grey market imports, or really rare/custom/commercial vehicles.

I’d say NADA retail is more than fair. No one really thinks they’ll get that much on trade/private sale and no one sure as hell wants to pay that when buying. But yeah, the hassle and unexpected nature of the circumstances make it stressful regardless.

PM me if I can help.

    Thanks for the link @Hardscrabble
@Built2Ride Yeah, I was not pleased with him when I showed up on the scene.
@tacomaboned Yeah that seems to be about the window i'm seeing. I'm about to run the values at work on the site we use for auto loan that gives up clean retail so we know the max we will lend on a vehicle.
@evenslower Thanks for the insight. I will certainly PM you if I have any questions. Thanks!

Here's what I got so far. I also pay for an extra on my policy with usaa that is new vehicle assistance where they pay you out 20% over the vehicle value. TAVT is using my current vin and bout today would be $2372.70. Tag about $20, and dealer fee is probably about $500. Sooo based on this and the new vehicle assistance: I should be getting ($35950*1.20)=43140 plus tax tag dealer fee: about $46032.70
Seems out of reach but its b/c of that 20% "New Vehicle assistance"

Good lord I have no idea what I would ask! The mods I have done on this are stupid.

The solar setup alone is more like an RV now…you guys could live out of it in the driveway!
