What do you guys think about a 8 foot awning mounted on the cab?... :anonymous: your boy got a killer deal on two awnings (4' and 8') I would love to have the coverage the 8 foot has but does it look THAT bad mounted on the cab??

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Give it a shot! I had one on mine that was an XL. Stuck out in front of the cab by 2 ft

I dont have a leveled ground.
I need to do a differential fluid.
Im thinking of using a torpedo level to get it leveled. Which part of the truck should I use for that?

Assuming you are talking about the rear axle, just make sure the axle is level side-to-side. (Or as close as possible.)

Nose up or down is not going to make much of a difference on filling the axle.

Nose down will allow to put a little more fluid in, nose up the opposite. (We're talking an ounce or two here...)

Get it close, call it good.

I will give you the option of using my driveway or garage as both are level and depending on where you are at if you want to make the drive. Send me a PM if interested. I have all the tools too as I've already done my own. Let me know.

It's a logical question. You're gonna have to dump the oil afterward anyway. Just bring some cardboard to lay on. When you're done, take it to the back of the store and add it to their oil collection.

Just make sure you take the fill plug out before you take out the drain plug.

I helped my buddy put those Icon RXT leafs on from @backcountryj
Was a much needed upgrade. He reluctantly wouldn’t let go of his toytec block in the rear..:)
The ride is so much better than his broken ass leaf springs.

Who knows, I will measure later. Somehow the toytec lift in the front was large enough to not make the rake all crazy.
It looks like 4-5” he most likely has a 3” in the front.

It is a little pain in the butt. But after a couple of times its not so bad. There's definitely something to be said for a hard mounted shade though!
