Speaking of cans, my buddy put this FN502 together with a red dot and a Q Erector22. Best all around pistol I’ve shot in a long long time. We were plinking steel at 200yds. 1AADAC6C-326A-427C-9E5A-7656B71A9B10.jpg
My buddy has a 2023 Trail Edition. The one on the left is a legit cooler and the other is storage. It’s basically a TRD Pro without the badging. He went ahead and upgraded to Kings and 33’s and man that truck is good!

yep comes standard with the package. The bronze rims are custom to the package as well.

I got about 7 months left before I need to decide on what .22 pistol host I want for my Oculus that's in jail. It will probably end up being a ruger mkIV lite. The TX22 for the price and reviews seems like a good pick but I want to put a red dot on it and I've read that may cause issues with adding that weight to the slide. Good thing I have so much time to figure this out. Thanks ATF.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

I've got a MkIV Lite mine will be spending time on, as well as a Sig P322 and Ruger American Rimfire.

I don't have a TX22, but I understand that on the Competition version the optic plate is mounted to the barrel and not the slide, so I would think you'd be good there.

Once you get it, we'll have to go to the range. I'd like to try it on my customized MKIII (with a Tactical Solutions barrel).

The competition version cost much more which would basically kill the appeal of the cheap tx22 for me. The tx22 can be found for $250 used or less sometimes. That's paired with the reviews make it appealing to me. Once the cost factor starts edging towards the cost of a used mkIV lite ($500 ish) then the MkIV wins.

Would be glad to let you try it out. Should have my Griffin Recce 5 at that point too if you want to take that for a spin too.

Anybody use a foam cannon to wash their trucks?

I’m wondering if they work as good as are advertised. Seems like they might be a timesaver.

Yes with a pressure washer. The hose ones suck. I have an extra if you want to try it.

Foam cannons are awesome. Didn't know they made non pressure washer ones. I too have an extra if someone wants it. The most important thing is do not put water in the bottle with the soap beforehand.

I thought you were supposed to fill the remaining space with water? What’s the thought behind why you shouldn’t?

My big question is do they really make washing faster?

In my experience, yes and no.

If you’re a frequent washer, yes. A foam cannon wash can get you back to looking shiny with a simple foam up followed by rinse off.

If you’re not washing frequently, then you’re still gonna need to put in a good amount of hand scrubbing even with the foam cannon. It’s still fun to use in this scenario, but I’m not sure it saves any time or effort. Honestly it’s actually gonna add time/effort as you now have another thing to setup and putaway in addition to your hand cleaning tools.

Personally, I bought a basic one out of curiousity a couple years ago. Used it a few times. It was fun, but my truck gets a wash once or twice a year. So it adds little to no value for me.

    YMMV

My husband used it recently and it wasn't foamy, just sudsy. Turned out to be because he had filled it up with water (he had never used it before). I guess it has to do with the way the nozzle is designed. Just kinda defeated the purpose of using it. Might depend on brand/model.
May or may not save or add time but its so much fun I don't care. I have 2 wash mitts so if the truck isn't super dirty I can put one on each hand and just go to town without needing to stop for anything.
