Before I go buy a bunch of stuff does anyone have any 80/20 parts or do a lot of projects with the stuff?

I need one bar and some fittings

Goal is to make a wind deflector similar to what iKamper sells that would attach to the tent rails and cover the front of the roof rack

Don't have any extra 80/20 stuff, but I've dabbled a little bit with it. If you have a place to get it for a decent price, its awesome to work with. All the specialized fasteners and screws can get expensive real quick, but buying in bulk can help if you intend to do future projects with it. I will say this project could probably be done a little cheaper with a couple sticks of flat bar, since you'll probably be needing it anyways for those forward braces, but extrusion allows for universability if you decide to chunk the deflector and build something else with it later. What material do you plan to use for the deflector?

Sounds perfect. I've always wanted to let my inner rice shine and throw a roof rack on a slammed JDM car, using an old skateboard as the wind fairing. Throw some underglow on it, I'd be set for fast and furious 12! Keep the project posted here though, I'd be interested to see what you come up with. My thoughts lean towards some flat stock bolted across the tent rails underneath, with some flat stock forward braces bolted onto it, maybe about 4 supports with a 45ish degree bend to support the ABS. I'd definitely find a strip of clear vinyl protection, and find a soft moulding for the underside of the ABS to rest against the roof.

Is there anyone in the Kennesaw area that would be willing to help me install a leveling kit on my truck? I’ll pay but also would like to watch/help. I have been contemplating doing it myself with the help of YouTube but I have a tendency to do my harm than good on my first attempt car projects. I know I can pay and take it to a shop but would like to get a little experience working on the truck outside.

I know it is frowned upon amongst the masses to do a leveling kit so I can take the flack that comes with it.

Bring it on up to the house and I’d be fine to help! How’s the rust on the truck tho? Kinda busy the rest of the month if it’s not too urgent. I only charge in beer so :notsure:

2022 so no rust. Barely any miles. Let me know beer and time and I’ll be there!

Unfortunately, the local Slope's BBQ by me closed. :(

Now, I have to drive to Alpharetta to get my fix...
