Got it, sounds like a plan. I’m guessing the Cooper Road+Trail won’t be aggressive enough for me. Maybe Open Country AT3s in 255/75/17? Are C loads too stiff?

Uh quick Google search and yeah the AT3s are more aggressive but the R+T doesn’t look too bad. I’d say comes down to price and availability tbh. When it comes to load range I have no clue as I’ve never looked too in depth to that. I’ve looked at the look, size and price, hopefully somebody else chimes in on that! I’ve only had 3 sets of tires on mine. BFGs, Duratracs and Cooper MTs. Never once looked at the load range

My E rated mickey Thompsons and sl rated falkens didn't feel very much different as far as ride quality. Going 255 does sound like a good idea. It will make rubbing less of an issue. I've been quite happy with my icon 3 leaf aal in the rear. TONS of people go with the bilstien 5100. I feel that's a great choice for shocks. The blind shock test on you tube rated them better than fox 2.5.

Griffin Gun Club is having an Expo on August 23 & 24. Open to the public. Friday hours are 11am-7pm and Saturday hours are 9am-5pm. I think there’s a FB page-The Griffin Gun Club and the website is griffingun.club

I'm less active on here than I used to be, but I'm also willing to lend a hand or offer up my garage. I've done more than a handful of lifts of these trucks and 4runners.

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up spending the week moving into a new apartment. That would be great, still currently researching and hitting harder trails to scope out exactly what I need to set up. Once I get everything figured out, I will order the kit and work out install. Thank you again for the generous offer, I really appreciate it.

I was bored yesterday and went over to Winder an test drove this. Full RCI skids underneath. The engine is aluminum. Trans, and transfer are steel. An Ironman winch, and Dobinson suspension. Those are the -38 9 inch wide SCS Blaze 10 wheels. The 285 70 17s looked stretched on them. I'd go with a bigger tire or narrower wheel if I bought it. I don't know what brand sliders it has. Baja designs fogs. I really like the Backwoods adventure mods front bumper. That was the main reason I went to look at it. It has been wheeled. Dirty engine bay and slight scrapes in the armor. The only damage I noticed was on the frame near the left rear tire. A 50 cent piece sized dent. There is rust there so it should be sanded and repainted. Pretty nice truck though.

Personally, I would not trade my 2015 2nd Gen for a 3rd Gen - I much prefer the 4.0L engine. I do like the black interior of the 3rd Gens.

Oh yeah I love my 2nd gen. I've got 260k on it now. I've been looking at low miles used engines just I'm case. I drove a brand new Colorado zr2 and this third gen. My truck drives better than both of them to me. The Colorado had no get up and go. I do plan on keeping mine forever but you never know what could happen.

I like the bumpers, but same as Scott I prefer my 2.5gen. Maybe I'll make some similar bumpers to fit mine...

I completely that the 2.5 is the best. I feel in 30 years it's going to be looked at like the square body chevys are looked at today. It's cool when you go test drive something newer and it just makes you love what you already have more. That's says a lot about our trucks.

I’ve owned my 3rd gen for 7 trouble free reliable years. No chance I’d trade it and go back to my 2nd, which I loved and agree was a great gen Tacoma. I’ve also test driven a 4th gen. They’re nice, but still quite happy to keep adding miles to my turd.

I like vehicles in general so I'll go drive others and check out others even though I have no intention on buying one. Maybe that's wrong but I really love 4x4s and heck I may drive one and say yeah I do want to add this to my fleet. I won't be parting with my 2nd gen unless it or I die. I do really want to test drive a new land cruiser though

Got a chance to drive one, I don't know what they did with the suspension but it was somehow firm while on smooth surfaces but soaked up every bump when it got rough. I really enjoyed it. Not as much roll as a regular SUV on road and still plenty plush when it comes to some bumpier sections. Wish I could have driven it more (off of the pavement ) but it was a loaner for one of my buddies while his highlander was at the dealership.

@Pwakchop if you or anyone need help with suspension stuff, installs or fabrication feel free to hit me up 7065069279 or on Instagram or facebook. I am a dealer for a few companies that I personally have used their products and have tested. I also pass on the savings to you all.

I have built a ton of trucks to do everything from looking good at the mall to racing in 24 hour off road races on 37s pushing Raptors down the trail. I would love to help but I am just not on this platform all the time.

I hope everyone is doing great!

My family and I are fine but my roof is leaking, we will be without power for most likely a couple weeks and my truck bed got crushed. The truck still drives fine at least. I just drove it 3 hours to Athens.

Yeah. It's pretty bad in south GA. LOTS of down power lines. But TN and NC have it worse with all the flooding.
