what do you consider the main trail, the road that leads from Helen or the side of the mountain toward Habersham. I was up there a month ago and the Habersham side is pretty nice to go down right now. I had to go through multiple washouts coming down.

I might End up in Atlanta sometime this week or weekend. I'll let ya know if I make it down that way. I'd rather not, I hate that place. But, gotta go see the gf at some point.

I think I'm the only guy who actually lives in Atlanta.

 

I flew here...on a plane, so it doesn't concern me at the moment. It appears TSA is anti gun also. What does concern me is that they ran out of the ONE beer I really wanted to try: Lefthand's 400lb Monkey.

Fuck them for being anti-gun though, how do they think we took over this country

Especially since they tout themselves as being a sport bar with a multitude of beer choices, it would only make sense that they should also be gun enthusiasts.

 

There is a craft beer store down the road a bit that has just about everything you can want.

The road from batesville to Helen. Its the nicest part. Batesville is off Hwy 197 toward Habersham.

Damn, that's ridiculous. What a bunch of assholes. I can see the reason to carry here, I keep getting hassled for money and smokes from homeless guys...it's more depressing than annoying. Haven't run into any thugs yet, or shitty college kids. I ask about Freak Nic though, I'm sure I'll hear some good stories.

 

I thought about going up there Fri. morning. I live in Alto so it is a decent trail not to far from the house.

 

I remember freaknik in Atlanta from when I was a kid. Basically picture absolute gridlock on every road and street in the city. Literally, people just stopping and parking their car in the middle of the road and getting out to hang out. Trashing everything in the city.

I grew up in the suburbs (Cobb County) and we stayed out of the city during that week.
