GA Tacoma Owners BS Thread

A good way to learn: get Lincoln Weldpack 100 on craigslist for like $100. Not good for thick metals and not really the best looking results (i had lots of spatter)but it's a great way to learn.

 

It's gettin there. It was ridiculously high yesterday when they were generating. But, they're gonna have to generate more to keep the lake low. They basically restarted the work on the riverside of the dam, so they have to keep the water pressure off of it.

 

Heck aska's about under water now. But just think. All this water is headed down river right to the big MC!!! Say goodbye to subway.

 

Yea, I've been checking the TVA page and the Upper Toccoa is flowing at like 2000 Cubic feet per second, which, for that river, is incredibly high. All the creeks are about to overflow their banks. I just want it to snow Thursday like weather.com is saying.

 

Snow!!!!! Hell yea. They're calling for it man.

 

I went out ridin around this evenin. Holy crap! The river on Shallowford Bridge Road is almost out of it's banks. Went out Cashes Valley and couldn't get past through the first creek unless I wanted water in the cab. Up on Silver Fox, where we cut through to get to Old Rock Creek to go out FS 333 or whatever the number is, the beginning of the road is flooded. They've got most of the FS roads gated off. Tried to go out 333, got through all the rough stuff before we got to the gate. There's one huge mud hole where we got sideways on accident and just about ran into the bank. That mud was ridiculously slick.

 

Yea. I saw all the gates up today. Hear 35,333, and 95 were all closed. Just wait til tomorrow. Rivers will be up over the banks.

 

If it keeps raining they will be. I don't care what happens...I just want the 1-3" of snow. Maybe I'll get off work so I can go ridin through the mountains.

Yea man. We'll just have to see if they actually get it right and we actually get some snow. It won't last, if we do get some. It's gonna be back into the 50s by friday supposedly.

I'm hopin it happens, but I'll believe it when I see it. According to weather.com it's supposed to start at 3 pm tomorrow and be done by 8 or so. But, it's supposed to be back in the 50s friday, so it'll all be gone quick. I'll definitely let ya know if we get some, though, and hopefully we can all go ridin through somewhere.

 

Channel 11 news just said to expect flurries and that would be about it. But they are mostly talking about the Atlanta area. Maybe you will see more up your way Derick? Would love to go ride with ya'll but have to be home to ake care of my baby boy until the wife gets home. Plus my truck is at the dealer getting the tsb done, hopefully I will get it back today.

It's been snowing pretty good for about an hour here

 

Gla someone is gettin snow. Was supposed to start at 3 here. Nothin but rain and sleet all day. No snow combined with a dickhead customer calling me a liar twice makes for an unhappy camper

 

No snow in Kennesaw area either. Shit sucks. Been raining for 2 days straight now. Wet and freezing my ass off walking around campus.
