I remember those days. Does the green still flood? We used to go slide around on it when it would flood. It was fun

I just hope there isn't any black ice in the morning, supposed to be around freezing.

Anyway got my truck back. Rear leaf tsb only added about half an inch. My reading on here lead me to believe it would be an inch to an inch and a half until it settles, then would be half to an inch. If it settles it will be the same height it was. :( Should be level with the 5100's at 1.75 as it sits now. Hope it doesn't settle any. Can't wait to get them babies on!

As for the ride, the dealer said it would be horrible and I wouldn't like it. I couldn't tell much of a difference but didn't drive very far yet. So far I like the feel, seemed tighter yet not much rougher a ride. Time will tell though.

I bet it was crazy there. We still didn't get snow. Everything is frozen over though. So the ride into work is gonna be awesome in the morning. I was hopin we'd get enough snow to not have to go to work. Oh well. I think they've basically taken it all out of the forecast now.

I will catch so much crap if I don't go to work when it snows now that I have a 4x4. Thing is most of our people wont come in anyway so it's kinda pointless to go.

Haha. You're right. It does. We dressed up like Dog the Bounty Hunter and went runnin around on the green. Everyone that had to go to class would actually slow down to see what we were doin.

We also went runnin around in the food court before it was built. Climbed over the fences. It was dried in and there was re-bar everywhere. Someone saw us and was a dick and called the campus cops on us. We ran, my buddy slipped on the ice and slammed into the re-bar and rolled his ankle. It was hilarious. We got away :D Snuck up to my girlfriend's apartment with pockets full of tennis balls and Balaclavas on our heads lookin like Ninjas. Her and her roommates all came to the door to answer it and we threw like 15 tennis balls at them and just ran off. We did all kinds of crazy stuff.

Stole our RAs workout ball, took it outside and made up some stupid game with it. Then one of my buddies threw it without looking and nailed some girl in the head with it and almost knocked her down. I miss College. Lol.

Man my battery gave out today. Truck is just shy of 2 years old! Dealer said they will replace it under warranty but the service dept. was closing when I called so I'll have to wait until Monday.

They told me these batteries in these trucks were Interstate batteries.

    Hey Mike,

Didn't you just have your truck in for the leaf spring TSB? Coincidence?

Yep. Made me wonder that myself. But they said they're going to replace it.

I priced an Interstate battery at about $150 so I'm definitely taking advantage of the warranty replacement.

Took it to Advance to have it checked and it did fail their tester.

Mine died just short of 36k....I had it replaced, then saved up for dual batteries. The OEM battery on these trucks are terrible!

Well I've heard people get 5 years out of them on average so I'll save the $150 for a new one and get the factory replacement. Maybe I'll get 5 years out of it? :notsure: But at least I'll save for now.

Glad to see the dealership will replace it for free. I've still got the original battery in my 2011 Tacoma.

I had to replace the original battery in my 2005 4Runner last year. That original battery was a Panasonic brand.

I wasn't saying to do what I did, I am just saying that overall they are crap. I absolutely would make the dealer replace it. I just didn't want to be in the same situation again and not be prepared to drop 100-200 on a new battery.
