Hey Chris which shop were you referring to for doing my coils? Didn't you say something about one on McEver? Was thinking about doing the 5100's tomorrow. A local shop just down the street says he can do them if I bring them to him, but they close up at 1. Not sure how long it will take me to get them out? I would hate to get the truck torn apart and not make it in time. Might just go ahead and start taking it down tonight so I could head up in the morning to get them done. Anyway I was wondering if the one you were referring to would be open later on Saturday?

 

Hey mike. If you get it to them in the early morning. They should be able to get it done in a few hrs. We did mine in 2 1/2 hrs at a friends shop in blue ridge. If the guy know how to do struts, and has the right tools for the job, he can do them in no time at all.

 

This shop just down the road told me he could do them for about $40 if I brought them to him. Or $245 for the whole install.

I'll let ya know. If I sell them it'll be wheels and tires together. Haven't decided on a price yet.

Let's go. The creeks are low enough to go through them now. After all that rain, they were WAAAAY too high. Me and a buddy took his F150, but couldn't get through the first one unless we wanted water in his cab...

 

We used to go thur them in the ups trucks

 

Wouldn't have a couple weeks ago. Lol. It was ridiculous. They're about back to normal now, though.

 

I'm working on it now. Started with the rears just to get going in this cold. Have a problem already, one of my jack stands is jammed in the lowest position so for now I only have one.

 

Chris, let me know when and we'll go through Cashes.

 

Will do. It will have to be in a few weeks. I've got to get my 33's first.

 

Well shit, only one good jack stand and don't have a 19 mm socket for the lower shock bolt. Maybe I shouldn't try to get this done this weekend.

 

Everything seemed like it was goin so well when you got your TSB approved.

 

Well I got the rears on. I thought for sure I had the metric sockets I needed. Now I have to decide, the shop here closes at 1 so by the time I get to the store in the morning to get a socket idk if I can get them pulled off in time. Plus the fact that I will have to take one at a time unless I want to buy more stands. Was just fumbling around the garage looking for some boards to put under the stand and can't even find anything that will work. Don't care to do that anyway.

 

I just didn't want to be rushed. Wanted to take it easy and make sure to do everything right. Of course I could borrow the spring compressor from one of the part stores, but them things look sketchy.

 

U don't have to compress them to take them off the truck. Just don't remove the center castle nut. It hold the spring down.
