Nothing yet, AA emailed me saying the AFe (the one I picked) has been discontinued. :( It's still listed on the web site. You'd think they would pull it off then. So I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I'm guessing I'll have to choose another one. But I had to sign an afitdavit and form so I don't know where this will go? Got the email from customer service late Friday so I immediately responded to my contact person and she responded back that she'd have to talk to CS to see whats going on. So it's a waiting game for now.

My next choice is the Volant. These 2 were my only 2 choices since they are enclosed. If and when I wheel I don't want an open filter. I was steered away from the Volant originally after reading about it throwing codes. So now I'm kinda bummed.

I really wanted the AFe. I later read that it is the same as the old TRD model. I did notice it does look identical to it. I read that AFe actually made the old TRD one.

Is it as a replacement? Or did you change out the pipes? Hell, I had thoughts of AA giving me the SS Magnaflow cat back in place of the CAI. They are close to the same value.

I am running American thunder flowmasters single to dual out with a stage 2 pro dry CAI. I have had a lot of compliments on them. I like them

Is it loud? Do you have any interior resonance? Any change in mpg's?

Some change in MPG but not much and for a V6 it is loud and there is some in cab noise but I'm used to it. I would post a video but I can't on my phone.

I did! AT2525XL and I freaking LOVE IT. I can't tell how bad it drones because 1) This is my first truck and 2) never been inside a truck that "drones." I do know on the highway cruising at 65-70 is quiet

Loud is going to be hard to get on a v6 with out getting a "pissed off bumble bee in a beer bottle sound" or a ricy sound. But it can be done just make sure you listen to a lot of videos on YouTube and the thread on this site till you find what works for you. Headers and exhaust would get you that loud sound and some exhaust will. Mine is deep and loud but not to the point were it sounds bad. Just don't expect a v8 rumble or loudness out or truck.

I don't want ricey for sure and don't want loud either.Don't want glasspack poppy. I just want something that has a deep sound where it is noticeable that its not stock. I want something that in my opinion goes with the flow of my truck. Was thinking possible a flowmaster 50 series. Heard a Borla muffler on youtube that I thought sounded pretty good as well. Just trying to see what guys opinions are. I've got a 63 Chevy pickup truck with a 350 engine in it when I need to get the loud, irritate my wife shake the house rumble out of my system!:D Not the sound i'm going for on my Tacoma!

I have a borla exhaust, I love it. People know when I'm coming but I'm not rattling their ears as I drive by.
