gross. thats fairly close to what my brother in law does. loads up like 4 big rubbermaids with dishes and stuff and big yeti with all sorts of fancy food in it. not saying eating like kings in the woods isnt nice, but it does defeat the purpose of roughing it

I'm with you. My father-in-law is the type of guy you could drop off in the woods with a pocket knife and he can come up with dinner for 4. I love camping with him b/c I always learn so much shit. About once a year we go to the river here and camp for the weekend and only take utensils, sides, fishing poles, and beer and have to catch fish to eat (we do take shit like tents, blankets, and other essentials). It's so much fun. One morning, he was making coffee in one of those camping coffee pots and forgot a filter, so he put the damn coffee in a sock and held the sock under boiling water for a few mins. Dude is a redneck Bear Grylls

Yea, Sack came up to BR and didn't even say hey. Wtf? I thought we were bros, bro?

Blue Ridge is great. I avoid downtown, aside from a couple bars. It's 100% geared toward out of towners. I can't handle it. It's mostly women's clothing, a few outdoor stores, antique stores, and a few restaurants/bars. Also, The Sweet Shoppe which was on cupcake wars on TV twice. Lost the first one, won the second one. Then they expanded into pigeon forge, TN. GREAT cupcake an baked goods.

There are some trails up in the cohutta wilderness area to hike. All kinds of waterfalls and things like that up in this area that you can go to. Some are short, easy walks ( .5-1 mile walk). Some are a little further. Plenty of woods up here to find somewhere to hike/camp.

Oh, and if you like trout fishing...

you look so weird without a beard! Also, we texted the whole time I was up there lol! (no homo). I told you we were at that one bar. It was awesome. My wife loved the stores....I hated them. I loved the bar . We plan on coming back this year. You'll have to show us the secret trout spot

There's not a pic of me there without a beard. That last one is my buddy/ex girlfriend's brother. Lol.

I know, I was just giving you shit. I knew the wifey would like downtown. Every woman that comes here does. I don't remember which bar you went to. Fightingtown tavern, maybe?

I'm always up for a little fishing.

I don't have a pic without facial hair. Haven't been without it since my junior year of high school.

This is about as close as I've gotten to clean shaven since then...

Hell yeah dude! My stepdad used to tote a rifle, hand me a shotgun and say "come on, let's go get supper boy." If we didn't shoot a squirrel or rabbit or something, we didn't eat that night. We used to camp on the farm and only pack hotdogs. If we wanted anything more, we had to shoot it, skin/feather it and cook it over the fire.
