I don't know of anything around that area. Maybe Google search or look at the maps.

We don't have the hockey team anymore ;)

I'm definitely an opponent of the Braves moving North. I'm like 50 miles South of the Ted, so going to games is already a pain in the ass. There's no way I'm gonna fight through Atl traffic to go see the Braves now. From everything I've read, they moved them up there to get the out of the ghetto and to develop the area in Cobb. They're gonna put some hotels and attractions around, so when people come to see the Braves, they'll hopefully stay over the weekend and spend money in the area. I think Cobb Co can go fuck themselves on that one. I'm still a fan, but I won't go to a game, unless it's a playoff game or something...Looks like I'm left rooting for just the Dawgs at the games now :pout:

Check out Piedmont Forest. It's around Monticello. It's no insane trail riding or anything, but it's all federal or state (can't remember which) land that has miles and miles of dirtroads and nice scenery. We squirrel hunt there every now and then.

I guess north Atlanta hood rats aren't as bad as the south Atlanta ones. In their defense, that area around Turner Field is terrible. I used to have to park in the Blue Lot when I went to State and there were thugs everywhere. Law school is a few miles north of there, so it's not bad, but I still hear of folks getting robbed on campus all the time down there.

Yeah and I hate it. It's good for the economy, but eventually all that shit is gonna spill south and ruin good ol Butts County. Butts County is like Mayberry and I want it to stay that way.

I'm sick of the overpopulation, it's rush hour all time, stores are too crowded, assholes come cast on top of you fishing, overdevelopment leads to less huntin land... It's gunna go to shit, and they will be to blame...

I agree... All day rush hour on the weekends. Something so simple as running a couple errands becomes an all day affair. Smh.... I-75 thru Henry is the states largest parking system every weekend. Have to drive miles and miles just to avoid the BS!

Sounds perfect for the pwewuunnah! I'll check it out.

I did find the strip mine area. Not sure it's accessible for rec use(without trespassing, anyway). Look at the intersection of Twin Bridges Rd SW and Dennis Station Rd, the just to the east and south... Looks wide open, nothing but rock out crops. It's just north of Meriwether and just west of Sinclair.

IMO its a good thing that they are moving to Cobb. The area around Turner Field was just awful with homeless people, ghetto, and its on the other side of ATL for me. Cuts down my travel time to games by a lot depending on traffic. They also added a brewery to the complex along with a shit ton of attractions and etc.. I plan on going to opening day next year and last home game at the Ted.

I'm game for the breweries then! I've been to Monday night, red brick or red hare. Fun places to spend a Saturday afternoon for 2-3 hours. Shit 6-7 beers for $12 and a "free" glass

its like that everyday in cobb as it is...

yeah, because I haven't seen hookers, homeless or heard of shootings right down the street from the new stadium... its in the ghetto part of cobb.... and the braves will own all the new attractions, so the can profiteer more money, meanwhile never doing the taxpayers they screwed right. If they want to move, they can foot the bill, and the people can say no.... but that's not what it was. there is so much corruption involved in the stadium (my teacher works for an engineering firm that tried to keep them in Atlanta and has a lot of inside info on what REALLY happened), I hope they go 0-165 every year.

whats HILARIOUS is, the hawks have a giant billboard where windy hill and i75 south meet and it says the only team true to Atlanta.... I don't even like basketball, but they just got a fan for being savage
