Complaining about traffic when living in the metro area is like buying a Taco and complaining about the gas mileage.

 

The metro is expanding at a rate faster than the roads can handle... Also the population is increasing farther from Atlanta, thus increasing land size of metro Atlanta....

 

Yep. That's how civilization 101 works.

 

I'd like to say it's because of the '96 Olympics because that was in my lifetime and I've seen the before & after of metro ATL, but really, the monied folks have been selling out the South for generations.

 

The combination of taco gas mileage, a 6" lift, and metro traffic doesn't bode too well for me. At least gas prices aren't too bad right now.

 

And one day there will be no country lands left. Just a shithole city all over.

 

A few years ago I let a rental car guy sap me into driving a 2wd Chevy Silverado for a week while my Tacoma was in the body shop for a roof dent....had to drive my then girlfriend back and forth from Kennesaw to Buckhead all that week as I was at KSU at the time. My wallet turned to ash by the end of the week. An i75 hour morning commute and 2 hour afternoon commute kicked my ass.

I think being a human you're allowed to complain about traffic. It goes hand in hand

Speaking of traffic they decided to close 3 out of 5 lanes on 75 at 9. So it doubled my ride home.....

 

that's when rush hour ends, and construction begins... no break for traffic...

 

Rush hour ends about 7:30ish. No way it goes till 9

I still get in slow traffic until 830ish....

Long story. Basically drove through tornado weather when some of those really bad storms came through back in the summer of 2013, like the tornadoes that hit Rome. Next day noticed a huge dent in the rear corner pillar driver side. Biggest bummer was I just got my new truck beginning of December 2012 lol. Otherwise I would have plungered it haha

 

I fell on the top center, and plunger fixes it, our roofs are very flimsy in the middle
