You can put in at the dam and float down to Curtis Switch, also. Also a 7 mile float, and 8-9 houurs if you're fishing it hard. Sometimes when I'm crunched for time, I'll put in at Horseshoe Bend and float down to the City Park in McCaysville. Can fish it hard and be done in 1-2 hours.

Rainbow rapala, gold or silver Blue Fox Spinner, or whatever is hatching at the time on the fly rod. There are good fish in the Toccoa...they're just smart and hard to catch.

The last float I made, it seemed like there are less fish overall than there used to be. You used to be able to float over a good hole and see fish scatter EVERYWHERE. I think I spotted 5 fish the entire time I was floating last time. But, the fish I saw were bigger than they used to be, so I guess it's a trade-off. A 25 fish day used to be slow on that 7 mile stretch. I think last time I went, between me and a buddy, we combined for 19...and they were hard to come by.

I bet that's true, people walk by them all the time but never wet a line. Probably never see a lure...

Ya I've seen some prime ponds and small lakes that would have to be holding some big bass

I've just seen some driving through, mostly around subdivisions, golf courses, and what not. I'd say people would be pretty funny about fishing most of em but of ours in our near a subdivision it probably wouldn't matter

I'm about to flip my shit- I'm trying to assemble my OME front strut assembly. It came pre-assembled from Headstrong Offroad but I used a rented spring compressor like the one shown below to disassemble it so I could paint the struts. I tried using the spring compressor to reassemble but because of the thickness of the OME springs and the design of these compressors I can't get it done without scratching the paint job.

Bottom line is I'm calling places around Gainesville and they want to charge between $100 to $175 to simply compress a spring and tighten a bolt, using a machine that would take no longer than 5 minutes per set. I explained these are not on my truck, I can bring all the parts into the store in my hand. I want to slap these folks for price gouging. Does anyone suggest a place that I can toss a guy $20 to do it for me?

We were talking about setting up a trip this past weekend. I'll let you know. We went to Helen this past weekend and we trout fished for like 3 hrs on Saturday. It was a stocked river, so they weren't huge, but they tasted good. Caught them on rainbow powerbait and black rooster tails mostly.

Yup- Gonna do this method now. I've seen it before but just didn't wanna risk anything. I did find a place that would do it for $40, right after I left a place that quoted $250. I fucked up my paint job cause I didn't let it cure today so I gotta re-do the paint anyway.

This is what I watched before https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E6u7dC7EHg

I used to fish a lot. I was even on my college fishing team and fished a few FLW College Tournaments. Until last year when I bought a bass boat and the damn thing got stolen before I could even make one loan payment!! After that happend I lost all interest in fishing and gave all my gear to dad.
