I bought my truck with a CAI already installed, but my old one had a stock intake. How do they remove all the silencers and whatnot from the stock one and it not throw up a million trouble codes? I can't tell a difference at all with the CAI....it does look cool though.

That's why I wanted to swap it over in person. Take a pic and try and replicate it on the other truck and vice versa

Would like to get that from you if it's got the end links and what not. I've got fresh bushings for it. My truck is having some front end issues. I've replaced inner and outer tie rods and upper and lower ball joints had it aligned and still has bad wobble. Wheel bearings are good so idk:facepalm:

Pretty sure I've got everything. Glad you have bushings because they'd probably need to be replaced.

    Hows free fifty sound? :D

That's a little steep but I'll do it. Let me know if you head up north sometime and I'll meet ya. I'll throw you a few bucks or something for the trouble.

    Hey ATL,

Purchased my 16 TRD DCOR super white back in December of 2015. I've done a few things to it but am currently researching my suspension upgrade. I've owned 3 trucks prior to this one and have never done any suspension work. I've been talking with some reps at Headstrong and Toytec trying to figure out the best lift to level/gain overall 2 inches of lift. Currently thinking of doing a fox setup with progressive leaf pack and LR UCA's. I'm very interested in longevity of components as well as being able to keep alignment and on-road ride quality. I'm in Marietta specifically, here's my setup so far:

    KO2 - 265/75/16 no rub.
    Stock bilstein struts/OE spring/leafs
    Front tint with windshield visor
TACOMA Decals added to tailgate and door jam protectors
    Husky front floor liners
    CCG front grill
    Window visors
LED lows/fogs/backup conversion (currently working to add full exterior LED conversion)

Would love to have some help installing my suspension setup early next year. I'm planning to use part of my tax refund to subsidize this mod

Glad to finally be a part of a GA thread!!

    Rob

Welcome Rob. When the time comes to install the suspension I'd be happy to lend a hand as I installed the suspension on my 3rd gen. I'm also in Marietta (E.Cobb) so we're not too far from each other.

Thanks man! What setup did you go with on yours? Any pics? Looked at your profile page but I'm relatively new to the TW forum as well in terms of all the features that are available. I've heard members mention a "build page" but I'm not 100% sure what that means. Is that their "profile" page or a "thread" they created with their build specs?

Anyway, good to see another Marietta native here

I'd be willing to help, know a fair amount on these things. Also in Mariettaish just keep us in the loop and I'll attempt to work it into my schedule

Looking at buying/upgrading suspension for the first time can be overwhelming. There's a ton of information out there. I was just in that boat, and hopefully you are processing the information better than I did, lol. Keep asking those questions, reaching out to vendors, and researching. Welcome to the Georgia thread. I'm just down the road in Smyrna.

Also @RNtaco don't hesitate to post up anything in here, it's usually dead in this thread anyways so it's a nice way to liven up the thread!

Here is a link to my "slow" build thread. Just your basic setup.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/mefryrices-16-quicksand-tacoma-build.441082/

If you don't feel like reading it, below is what I have suspension wise.

    Front:
King Ext. Travel Coilovers with remote reservoirs.
    TotalChaos UCA.

    Rear:
King 2.5 shocks with remote reservoirs.
    OME Dakar leaf pack
All-Pro U-bolt flip kit with Timbren bump stops.

I have the Archive Garage rear shackle flip kit and relocation shock mounts that need to be installed. I wish I knew how to weld a nice bead otherwise I would have already performed the install myself.

Does this group ever get together for dinner/beer on the weekends or anything? If not, let's set something up for us all to meet and have a face with a name.
