My question on skids, in the south east are we going to spend a lot of time high centering on rocks or mostly dirt? I've been happy with aluminum on atvs and sxs but they are much lighter vehicles. Like the idea of not painting and saving weight since Iam liable to have 1 medium and up to 3 sasquatch sized rednecks in my truck.

So...255/80 are so much bigger than 265/70...

Are they the same brand/style? And the smaller one has much less tread.

The 265s are cooper STT. 255 are BFG KM2. And yes the coppers are bald. But still...we'll see what happens

The reason I'm asking is because I'm currently on 33x12.50s but I'm gonna downsize. Right now I'm leaning towards 265/75s but not completely sure yet.

265/70/17. I've always wanted To go bigger. But I don't want to trim. Probably gonna have to anyway.

I'm not really sure why everyone is all about bigger is better. I lost a good amount of power, handling, mpg, and room in the wheel well. And all for a cooler look and maybe a little more offroad capability which i dont really need.

Turbo, coilovers, turbo, who wants room...problem solved.

In my opinion, but I am definitely going with a turbo

Give it time, I didn't really get to mod my truck until recently when I got a real job. I've got a semester and a summer semester left till I'm done with school. Once that happens and I get a DD and some decent money in the bank. Then things will slowly become more expensive mods put on

It looks sooooo much better. I don't think it'll hurt power and mileage a ton. I get shitty mileage already. No one needs room in the wheel well. It looks better when it's filled up with tire. I don't like all the room with the 265s. That said...I don't want to chop either. Lol. Going to get my buddy's stock '11 sport wheels tomorrow and probably mount them and see what it's like. That way if they're too big I can order more and still get them before my SCS wheels come in.

I only play in mud, so I've never wanted skids. It's all about the terrain where you go play.

That's what it's all about, man! 90% of being cool is looking cool.
