GA Tacoma Owners BS Thread

I just can't until school is done seeing I leave work in the middle of the day to go to school. But once schools done I'll probably start looking elsewhere. But if the money isn't even close F that

 

That's why I go to school in Atl....can't get a law degree in the boondocks lol. I went to Ga State for undergrad, so I've been commuting to Atl for over 6 years now and I hate it. Of course, there are more lucrative law jobs in the big city, but I work for a fairly large company here in Jackson and they've agreed to keep me on when I graduate, so I jumped all over that. I'll be making an average lawyer's salary, which I'm more than okay with.

 

Can't argue with that. My company did the same thing so that's why I'm gonna stick it out. Super nice to not have that burden of looking for a job while finishing school. Of course it makes it extremely less motivating because you just want to be done

 

True that. Getting a job in the law area is tough right now, so all my classmates are super competitive and I'm just over here coasting along. They all want to work in big law firms also...different strokes for different folks.

 

You at JM? I went to GSU Law... yeah you can definitely make more in the city, lol. That's why I'm still here, paying off my law school loans.

 

Yep! I wanted to go to GSU law, but my LSAT score sucked . I loved GSU undergrad (minus all the liberals lol)

 

For my Senior Design group, they're all stressing about a job and I'm over here like

 

Hell I have companies lined up for me when I graduate.... Idk if where im at is willing to pay what I want

It'll be an hour or so if I mechanic....but today's my last day at this place. Tired of it already, had to clean out a creek with a shovel and a bucket. D.O.T. are dicks

 

They offer you a legal position or just staying on in the same capacity. In-house counsel is the dream man, would love to find something like that.

 

I'll be in-house counsel. I basically do in-house counsel work now, minus the bar # and salary lol.

 

That's awesome man, beats the hell out of billing hours for insurance clients.

My education prof. is writing a monthly column in the Bitter Southerner. This is just an intro, but he mentions cat-fishing and Chase Elliott for starters. After class, we tend to sit around and talk about our trucks, our guns, and dirt track racing. He's a solid dude:
