Don't be scared to go a cutting a fender or something.
In some parts of the TW world, cutting is a right of passage to manhood.

I really want to go 35's and I'm ready to have it cut up and pounded. I just don't know about the cab mount chop and my hc rear bumper will need to modified as well. Maybe I should just go to 33's.

CMC should be done even with 33's IIRC. But yeah you'll have to cut your rear. @Mad T is gonna have to do his brand spanking new Pelfreybilt here soon

I would but am finalizing my move in with @bryanbyers28 this weekend. Just FYI that park sucks during the summer because no wind through the park. It'll be hot one, I suggest buying a portable fan for at night. Also bring water for the truck last time we went out there a few 2nd gens started to overheat

you're probably right. I think I should be good to go with 33's other than that. I honestly don't know that much bout the Cmc.
35's just bring more to the to do list. Including regearing and wider wheels then I currently have. $$$$$$$$

Good looking out on the water!!! Is it a good park? Comparable to AOP?

I think you'd be alright, you may scrub without the CMC but I'm not 100%. But yeah 35's make the cash flow right out the wallet. But Thomas has 35's on stock gears and he's fine with it. Not super fine but fine

It's fairly good I think the heat left a bad taste in my mouth. I want to go again when it's cooler. But I prefer AOP maybe because we went when it wasn't hot, but they'd probably be about the same.

I have 33s (255/80r17 pizza cutters) and haven't had a problem with rubbing- I'm thinking about going 35's one day. Definitely noticed some power loss, and shifting on the highway is annoying. Can't get it to shift into OD on my trips to work.

From what I ve seen so far in search of tires, if Im going to keep my current wheels, the only 33's that I can find that will fit are 255's and they are the BFG mud terrain. Not to crazy about MT's but the reviews aren't bad for these. Time will tell. Maybe tax season will be good to me this year. AS far as the shifting issue and power loss goes, I'm manual so hopefully that will help me out. I would still expect to loose some.

Is Thomas the White tacoma that came to the 4runner meet up. If so that is a good looking truck. I have heard of guys going 35's and not regearing, I just don't want the extra stress on the transmission for a long period of time. I believe I'm going to have to go 33's next and then somewhere after the truck is paid for, maybe then go 35's. However I have never been one for patience when it comes to building my truck, but I'm also not a fan of credit card debit. Damn being a responsible adult suck.

Yes ST Maxx is what I have. There are supposedly some Toyos coming out but haven't found them to purchase yet. What size wheel you going with?

Right now Im running a 16x7. The width is what is causing me the problem. Whenever I upgrade wheels, I'll probably go 8-8.5" width. Leaning more towards 17's. But that isn't 100% decided. Still have to pick out what I want, and then find the capital to buy them. Good thing, is, since I have the faux beadlock pro wheels, Im thinking I can sell my current ones rather quickly, after installing the new ones. But; thats down the road at the moment.

I've cut as much pinch weld as I think I can, anymore and I believe I'll be in the cab. Done cut half to 1" of the bottom part of the fender

you have achieved MANHOOD status. :hattip::D

Some people have no issues or second thoughts cutting on a good truck. I know, for me when I watched my bedsides get cut for the HC bumper, and when I did my snorkel install, to say I was slightly nervous would be a drastic understatement.

Meh when I drilled holes for my roof rack and snorkel I was drinking. Made it easier, shotgunned a beer before I did the big hole for my snorkel :drunk:
