The only way I see Marietta/Kennesaw area running low on fuel is from all the Floridians driving up that way. I75 all the way to Tennessee has lit up with traffic on google maps all day.

Yeah I had a quarter tank yesterday but went ahead and filled up before people went nuts. Cause of course Houston has impacted gas delivery I guess, but of course they are reassuring everyone that deliveries are on the way.

Anyways, I'm waiting on my grad school to get their heads out their ass and cancel so that everyone can leave as they please. As soon as that happens I'm hitting i20 and headed home to Columbus.

Hopefully the Alpharetta area doesn't run out. When I was in HSV last weekend Costco ran out of regular so I was forced to do the "tank-o-premium experiment" that's apparently a hot topic on TW.... haha.

Well now it looks like Atlanta is going to get most of the storm and won't really be seeing the worst of the storm until Tuesday.

I doubt class will get cancelled. The metro area is expecting wind and a few inches of rain. I had to go to Atl for school yesterday around 10 am and traffic was 20 mph from Locust Grove all the way to midtown. Left Atl around 9:30 pm and northbound traffic was a little heavier than normal...point is, if you're travelling north, do it at night! Also, my truck's low fuel light came on today :anonymous: I'm in for a $50 fill-up :censored:

The talk for public schools , is for Cobb county to cancel school on Monday. I swear they cancel school for anything nowadays. I remember going to school as a kid with a similar situation. At least these kids can go for half a day:facepalm:

I know my school ins't gonna cancel unless it's really bad...law school sucks though b/c cancelled days just get tacked on to the end of the semester, so it's not as cool lol.

Shit when I was in Colorado as a kid and it snowed a foot or so we still had school, they never canceled shit for us. Now a days "oh God we might get a bunch of rain from the hurricane.. CANCEL SCHOOL NOW!?!?!"

I understand to a degree why public schools are so quick to cancel because of the fear of lawsuits. My problem with the canceling of schools, is what type of impression and work ethic is being developed in this young generation. So in ten + years will the work force call out bc its tooo cold or wet outside???? I'm already seeing it now with the young twenty year olds and the sad thing is some of the older generations are taking on that mentality as well because that behavior is or has become acceptable.

I call out when it snows so I can go wheeling :notsure:

jk I've never done that. I like to think I'm the opposite of a millennial but I might be biased  I never call out unless it's a legit reason, I work hard with a good work ethic and I'm not out with pitchforks like my generation because I have bills that need to be paid

This is what I tell my wife at least once a week. The things that teachers can't do or say anymore to students, bc it may embarrass them or hurt their feelings is dumbfounding.

This is why I want to buy a large mass of land far away from everything and everyone and live off of the land and grid as much as possible.

I've only called out of work once and that was because I had salmonella from eating raw chicken and had uncontrollable diarrhea.

Think of it this way, when shit really hits the fan, all those pussy snowflakes are going to be the first to die off.

    Sounds like a cult

To be honest, a couple days of school out of the year being missed is not going to all of the sudden tell kids to go off, be lazy, hate having to do work, etc. That is a concept handed down generation after generation due to a multitude of factors, worsening as we go and constantly being blamed on the next bunch of kids from the generation that actually brought them up.

A few days off in the wake of a storm is not a big deal, when you have nutjobs snagging up every drop of gasoline they can get in their wake, an influx of thousands of people from out of town/mass transit, and food stores running out of certain food items/water because people don't prep for anything nowadays.
