By "demo" do you mean watching me do all the work? LOL

I'll be glad to "guide and help" you - it really is not complicated. Of course, having an extra set of hands always makes it easier.

Picking the date will be tricky - I am working in Huntsville now, and am only in Georgia on the weekends.

Let's start throwing dates out for next month, and see what we can work out.

Changed my oil for the first time in my 2015 yesterday. I gotta say I really like the little catch pan that surrounds the filter...pretty neat. Took about 15 mins to do the whole thing. Used Valvoline Full Synthetic 5w30. What do yall use?

    upload_2017-11-6_8-45-25.jpg

I like them. They sure would look sexier wrapped in a 33" tire though :stirthepot:

Only thing I would trade guns for is moar guns. It's just a matter of time before the AR is banned (again) and the price shoots up (again). Of course, if you've got more than one and can afford to get rid of one, I guess it's okay...maybe.

    Fuck that's an expensive weekend.

The filter catch pan is the best. A welcome change from my upside down filter in my 4.0 V6 Explorer. People get genuinely jealous of that little catch pan I've found out.

It's genius! And I LOVE how they put the filter in the most convenient spot they could have. My 2001 2.7 L and 2003 3.4 L required getting under the truck, but they got it right with the second gens. Some manufacturers stick the filter in the most inconvenient places. I've heard of some (Saturn, I think) that you have to take the damn tire off! Gotta love Toyota :D.

Luckily for me it only cost me 3 beers. But I got 2 OEM CV axles so I think I made out better this weekend :notsure:

That is why I'm not a big fan of that park lol... Seems like every trip I make it to at AOP that carnage list is huge. Looking forward to the pics.

Haha it's my personal favorite. I just don't like pushing my truck here because I've seen a good amount of carnage happen.

lol, wouldn't expect or want you to do all the work. I enjoy trying to do as much work to my truck as I can. Help and guidance would be great.

3 beers? Does your husband drink? (I can't say anything...I only had 3 liquor drinks while watching football all day Saturday...I'm old and lame now). I'm sure you've done a CV axle change before...super easy. I made the mistake on my 2003 of just trying to cut the torn boot off and putting one of those wraparound boots on there. MISTAKE. Ended up buying a whole new CV for like $70 and it took 20 mins to install.

Oh no like I only had to give the guy 3 beers for 2 OEM axles. I didn't have a spare or anything like that

I was following the thread the TN guys had going for the trip. I had originally planned trying to go, but my truck had other plans, with the clutch and all, and not able to get off of work as well.
Glad you and the other guys had a blast!

I grew up here a long time ago, and am enjoying being back. The city has changed a lot.
