Any MOD days going on? I am off next weekend Sept 29/30 and Oct 1/2 and I have a complete suspension I need to install. Was going to do it at a buddies shop but a tree fell on his house so looks like I might be doing it in my driveway unless there is a mod day that going to happen.

Im surprised on how aggressive the tread is, thought they would be just like the St Maxx. Pleasantly surprised

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Please let us know how they ride.

Looks good. I’m pretty sure those are identical to the STMaxx as Mastercraft is made by cooper. Clearly they have differing sidewall tread though.

There are some posts floating around regarding premature dry rotting cracks in the sidewall on them. I would think they’ve gotten all that sorted out by now. Ive looked into those heavily in the past but ended up going other routes.

Yeah, I had StMaxxs. The tread pattern is definitely different and seems way more agressive. The spacing between the lugs is wider and appear they will give more off-road grip, look more like a MT. Never heard anything about dry rotting as I researched the crap out of then too, actually wanted these when I bought my stmaxxs, couldn't pass up the price at the time.

Tips, y’all. Truck dead this AM. Drove fine yesterday. 13 Taco V6 dcsb, 74,xxx miles. Starter clicks repeatedly. Everything else comes on. Cleaned terminals (had buildup on positive post). Got a jump from another V6. Still wouldn’t budge. Just clicks. Help me whittle down the cause:

    Battery?
    Starter?
    Starter relay?
    Starter contacts?
    Battery cables?

Kids an hour late to school. I’m two hours late to work. Gotta poop so bad. Ass disaster inbound. Smash F to pay respects.

I would try tapping the starter while turning the key and see if that works

Well hell yes! Been waiting for someone to chime in. I ride every other Thursday and every Sunday. We are rolling out to dual sport this weekend up north. Maybe more road this go around, as my buddy just picked up a new bike (Yamaha mt10).
I live south of the city but basically next to the Zoo. My friend is up North in Lawrenceville...we will be hitting the road in the am if you wanna join us?
I can also keep you in the loop when I roll out.
I am planning on rolling to my place up above Asheville if you wanna link up for a ride up in NC as well. I got a bad a$$ Mountain house up there my GPa built at he top of the 2nd tallest mountain east of the Mississippi. Your welcome to crash at my place.

PM me and I will give you my cell. Anytime you wanna ride just hit me up bro, I live to ride my bikes. If you need I can trailer your bike up to the NC mountains so you can get there quickly.

Been thinking about getting bed cap for my truck but can’t justify spending $1k+ for one. Anyone happen know of a good used top for a 2nd gen dcsb (preferably silver streak mica) for a reasonable price?

Saw one on cl in silver for like $500 a while back and didn’t have the $ at the time now I can swing it if I can find another deal like that one.

Just thought I’d throw it out there to see what happens. Thanks.

I would say, be patient and widen your search on CL to the areas/cities that you are willing to drive to and check out FB market place.
It took a month or so for me to find one that I wanted once I was committed to getting one. Just keep at it. I’ll keep my eyes open for you as well.

    Same crap everyone else got
Ha, I think I texted you a couple weeks ago when I saw your 1st gen on CL wanting to know if you wanted to sell your FN FX Pro wheels. Should have known you'd be a member on here b/c of the wheels alone.

Also I'm fairly new to the forum but not to Toyota's. I just sold my 1988 sas 4runner and just got a 2015 double cab trd off road 3 weeks ago. Already have some 265 70 r 17 duratracs in my garage waiting for the fn fx pros to ship to me. After that I'll see if they rub and will decide on the 5100's and some 884 or 885's. Would love to get together and meet some folks when I get my truck right. Seems like a few of you are into shooting so maybe if someone has some land or wants to get a truck night range night together i'm sure there would be some interested.

Pic of recently sold 4runner to hold my place until I get this Tacoma looking right.

About 6 miles on them, they are louder than the Toyos...duh. Ride, there is no discernable difference. They must have balanced just fine, no shake or shimmy and no pulling to one side. Happy Camper
