Give them a good wipe down with acetone to get off the corrosion. Let them dry. Do 2 coats of self etching primer. You’ll need around 3 spray cans. Let them sit for about 24 hours. Then do multiple coats of the paint of your choice. I’d advise against matte. Go with a satin or semi gloss. Easier to clean and doesn’t scratch quite so easy. It’ll take roughly a can and a half per coat.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Who had those AAL on here for sale? Now that I got all this weight in the bed, my tow hitch is dragging up steep inclines. AAL or Air bags, will be happening when I get back from the mountains.

a lot of bad ass stuff
    https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-7...7182&sr=8-2&keywords=rustoleum+hammered+black

I usually pick this up from Wal-mart. works great on sliders and bumpers. Touch ups are easy and blends in well. Ive been the hammered style paint for several years, with success.
@iK0NiK tip to wipe down with some acetone is a good tip.

What up my peeps! Check out this jammer, I am going to go check it out soon on my way to NC.
May become part of the family. I followed this build from beginning to end, and LC’s are my passion. We shall see! Who doesn’t want a UTE!

I have used the same on my Truggy, but the brush on kind. Goes on thicker than the spray. I will say that you should always test it on something and let it dry, before you hit your sliders. It has a crazy texture that some like, some do not. It is stronger than regular Rustoleum for sure. I do prefer the Satin black finish over everything. I am sure you know this, but buy more cans than you think you need. Use short blasts of spray about 10”-1’ away, long sweeping motions. Keep the can moving. Do not try and cover them with one shot, drips will come about. Like ikonick said, it will take at least three coats.

Not sure if I want the gunmetal wheels on the inferno, think bronze or copper would look better.

Like the ray 10 or FN fivestar....

Off topic but I just saw your 1st gen on Craigslist. Noticed you were out of Lula. I worked there for almost 5 years.

I’d vote gunmetal or black on inferno over bronze or copper. But it’s your truck, go with whatever floats your boat.

I need to delete that, thanks for reminding me.

    Where at in lula?

And if you seen the truck you see my dilemma, my bumper is painted to match the fx pros. The 18 has nothing, so 1st gen gets first dibs

    Off of Whitehall road.

I helped build the zip line course and facilities of the the canopy tour. Once the build was complete I was the operations manager until I moved.

My uncle lived off Whitehall, it's right off 365 right?
