Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Believe it or not when the truck body doesn’t roll over in a turn the slightest increase in width will cause rubbing. This is why most only notice run in full lock during reverse. Jonathan said he was running 33s just fine, but skinny tires. These were brand new Falkens.

My 32s don't rub, but I'm second gen....though I thought they were basically identical "down there" :notsure:

I did rub on the UCA and LCA at full lock. That was solved temporarily by spacers and then permanently with Trail Edition wheels.

Not a necessity with the 265s, but as Jason mentioned I was getting some minor rubbing in certain situations. The specs of my wheels are the primary culprit, and yes, prep for bigger tires in the future.

I didn't get much rubbing with the same spec wheels on my 2nd gen and 255s (33s), but I was also running SPC UCA with +3 caster. I'm on stock UCA currently.

Hey gents. Posted around a few other threads about my vsc problem that’s going on. One of the other members suggested asking here to see if anyone in the northwest region of this great state might have a techstream and be willing to take a look at my truck. Will gladly pay in beer or beer money if someone is willing to help.

Anyone else think I'm over reacting.

Pritchett tire in Commerce, Ga feels that this always happens while removing stick on weights.

This is my 2nd or 3rd set of wheels that had old weights removed to rebalance or just balance a new tire and I guess the other employees was a straight pro cause not one scratch from removing the old weights

This is 1 of 4 wheels scratched up, my ~8month old FN fx pro's on my 1st gen

EDIT: Waiting for android to decide it wants to load pictures

Well I done the vsc kill switch ad it seems to do the trick but would really like it fixed if there was anyway. Guess there’s no hope.

Hey brutha, can you point me to your OG thread hat describes the vsc issue.
I am gonna send it to a couple mechanics friends of mine that a top notch and only work on Toyota’s.
Let’s see if we can track this down.
I had the same issue with an ‘06 Runner.
It turned out to be a slight vacuum leak, in a old hose.

I had a very similar thing happen on a trip to the dealer to patch a flat for me a couple of years ago:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/need-tire-repair-advice.425471/#post-12296799

Some careless asshole with an impact gun messed up the finish on my SR8's. After a back-and-forth with the service manager at the dealership, within a week they cut me a check for the value of the wheel, including shipping. I was still at a loss because I had to have the wheel swapped out on my own dime, but I was just happy they made it right.

I'd take it back and show them the damage. Ask how they intend to make it right. If they bark, work your way up the food chain. I'm OCD about my stuff and I take good care of my things. I don't care about dings on my wheels as long as I put them there, but it's not cool for someone else to damage your stuff like that.

May need to get a look at it in a couple weeks, report right now is the lake is .79 ft below full pool. This may not leave much shoreline exposed. The way it looks in your pictures I could more than likely launch my boat from the shoreline and if you say its all gravel roads to get there it should be no problem.

They gave me back my 68 dollars back for mounting but still think that happens alot

I did bring them over, they said that happens with stick on weights. So I asked about a set of forces that was brought in, 5k in wheels would they send out the door like mine? He just shrugged it off
