I got it clean on Friday just to go get it dirty again on Sunday. Took the wife and the kids up to Springer Mountain. I love that southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. We found a little side road and kept coming up against down trees. 26E6C1DE-8C54-44DA-9650-0EC61B255962.jpg 72CD3EE4-7E6E-441F-BA72-D9EA6D133323.jpg 0E21CDCA-E34F-4144-AD0D-00A5011C8794.jpg 0BDCFEF5-3355-4239-AB4A-13CA782935D4.jpg It’s gonna stay that way till next Friday because were going out back again26E6C1DE-8C54-44DA-9650-0EC61B255962.jpg2CDFEA76-02D4-41CA-A0EC-63BB4F654A13.jpg

The guy I work with just invited me to do a big shows on the third and the fourth. That last one was at Saint Marlo‘s country club. That was only a $10,000 display. On the third I’m going to be doing Saint Ives country club. I think he said that was it $18,000 display. And then on the fourth we’re doing Atlanta athletic club. Which is supposed to be a $25,000 display. Supposedly they’re having skydivers and air shows in everything. I’m gonna try to get some drone footage of one of them

Nope he only gets to go in it’s just me and him. There’s not enough room for my three girls and 85 pound boxer. I guess I should’ve got a 4Runner

How are you going to get the drone footage? Flying at night?

That’s what I’m hoping for. Fly it up and let it Hover start the show. And hopefully it auto lands. That show that we did this weekend was only seven minutes. I think the next show is supposed to be 12 minutes. The big one is supposed to be 18 minutes

I asked the guy that I’m working with about that last weekend. He said we own all the airspace up to 500 feet with in that blast zone. So as long as I stay in the blast zone he told me it would be fine

No trying to be that guy, but flying a drone at night isn’t as easy (to follow the law) as just throwing it up there, letting it hover until it self lands, and it being ok because some guy said they own the airspace. The FAA has a lot of good resources for UAS pilots. I would recommend you spend a lot of time there before you fly at night.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Good morning y’all !

Alright, I'll take the bait since no one else will. What's the good news?

On the green?!? That seems like something that would have been setup on a cartpath as it crossed an opening.

OK Come fly your helicopter. Within 500 feet of the blast zone that we have a permit for. And then complain when it Gets hit with mortars.

We have a permit to use it. Let me rephrase that
I am not doing it commercially. I am doing it as a hobbyist also the blast radius is 500 feet from Center. So someone that hasn’t passed the background check can’t be in that area anyways. So therefore I will not be flying over people. That is the main reason you need a waiver for night flights. As if you’re flying over people. There will be no people within my 500 foot blast radius Like I said I am not flying commercially. Nobody is paying me for I am doing it as a hobby.
Also the drone is under a half a pound
Fly in accordance with the Special Rule for Model Aircraft (Public Law 112-95 Section 336). Under this rule, operators must:

    1. Fly for hobby or recreational purposes only
    2. Follow a community-based set of safety guidelines
    3. Fly the UAS within visual line-of-sight
    4. Give way to manned aircraft
    5. Provide prior notification to the airport and air traffic control tower, if one is present, when flying within 5 miles of an airport
    6. Fly UAS that weigh no more than 55 lbs. unless certified by a community-based organization".
