I have 886 and they were VERY stiff when I first installed and after flexing them a bit they are better now. I do have full skids and a hidden winch mount

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Indeed it is! We really need to take a trip up there as a group. It’s super chill, very low key. Lots to do, places to hike, ride or just set on a rock with you feet in the creek.
Yep, Johnathan hit the nail on the head. I just can’t be seen on the trail with this motley crew! My street cred will never be the same. Lol
I am looking forward to joining the group. Just have to get out on the bike a few weeks in a row so I can keep up.
Been slacking on my mtn bike all summer, when there was some free time I have been either on the KTMs or been installing stuff on the trucks.
NC is the jam...That’s why I am moving up there, it’s hard to beat that area on this side of the coast.

On another note. My Alu-Cab Shadow awning brackets have arrived.
I have never had this much work to get an awning to install. This thing is nuts!

If you ever get one, I suggest you just buy their brackets. Shit was just too complicated/irritating to make this work.

They probably designed them that way. Force you to buy more of their quality (insert expensive) propriety products.

I found this at some random blow/buyout store in the oh so big town of Rock Spring Ga where I just moved to. I stopped in just to see what they had and was surprised when I saw this. Only set that they had.

Rock Spring. Very different than Marietta.

That can be a good thing in many ways, and not so good in others.

    That's a score!

I have almost no need for those, but would be darn tempted at that price.

Definitely into group buys. I've gotten a lot of good deals that way.

I have wondered why I haven't seen that many as of late. I had been checking here (https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/group-buys.55/) and been relatively disappointed in the offerings as of the last few years. Looks like I missed the options at the top of that page, so thanks for the link!

I was thinking - for those with aftermarket metal bumpers (frnt & rr) - that they could just have a small receiver stub welded to the side of each bumper. Then, when parked, insert the long pole into the receiver to support a hammock.
This of course, would have you sleeping along side the truck; but it should still give access to the cab doors. Those stubs would only have to be 2 inches or less (but w/ strong walls). No intrusion to the truck width, no rattling, no losing them, negligible weight, and some side roof mounted awnings would shade the hammock here. (Sadly, I still have stock bumpers.)
