The pop up side windows is a great option. So easy to lean in and grab things from the very back of the bed.

 

Would like one like this. Really feel like it matches the lines. Going for this exact look with the prinsu but with bronze f5s like my 5th gen

 

So much this. Need to give my sprinklers and the associated water bill a rest.

 

I have an old Toyota rear axle and some steel wheels w/ tires. All you need now is a seat and someone dumb enough to go for a test ride.

How hard is it to install a windoor after the fact?

 

There's a YouTube video on how to replace a window so if you can buy the windoor unit and seal it I don't think it's that difficult.

I can't recall his username, but there was a guy that did it not long ago on his ARE V-series. He said the swap wasn't difficult but buying the windoor replacement windows was expensive. I wanna say he paid $300+ per window, and he had some sort of company hookup.

 

I think I saw that they are $150 for the top that i have.

If I could find a set of windoors that would fit my topper for under $300 total, I'd probalbly do the swap. Once it gets beyond that price point it doesn't make financial sense for me.

Also in another forum I read a post about a guy taking his truck back to the dealer he got the topper from and just asking if they would add a windoor and it cost him $250 total. But They may have just been for one as his post says "a windoor added"

 

My guess is that was for one window, but still not a bad price if that included the labor for the swap.

Thanks for the link. A swap is way low on my list of proprieties, but a good resource to use if/when the time comes.

 

Yeah. I'm pretty much in the same boat. It's low on the priority list. I'd like to have it, but don't need it.

Speaking of camper top windows (or windoors) anyone have a good recommendation for removing water spots? They don't impact my visibility out of the window, but I'd like to remove them if possible.

 

I have duel windoors one of which has a toolbox. I rarely use the side pass-through, but I use the shit outta that toolbox. I guess it's just as hard for a short guy like me to reach in the side as it is through the back.

 

Yes, permanent spots. I've used the Chemical Guys window cleaner and that does not remove them. I can only see them when I am standing next to the camper top and looking at it. They aren't terrible. It's just my OCD.
