I know a lot of people like Beasley knob, and some will say you can do everything there stock. I'll say Nope to that and the place it self. I've been once, and went down a trail that was not stock friendly (I was stock then with the exception of full skids and sliders) and I came out with over $1000 of body damage. Granted it was my second time out and was with an experienced friend. That's my thought on Beasley Knob and have no desire to ever go back. If I recall the trails weren't marked for difficulties.

I hate it for the damage to your rig. I'm not looking to bash my daily, so I guess Beasley's out till I get my truck more 'wheel capable'.
I like the idea of a GA TW meet. It'd take quite a bit of planning to pull everyone together at one time for a trail day, or trail circuit through the state, would be freakin awesome to me.

I don't mean to scare you away from Beasley Knob, just stating my experience there. I honestly believe my friend and I picked the wrong trail. Everything else we did was fairly simple with clearance being my biggest issue on those parts. However if you don't know what trail is which(unless signs or markers have been hung) it could be easy to make a bad turn. On the flip side, I've heard several guys brag about how easy Beasley is. :notsure:

So guys, I was going to finish my rear suspension up but I kind of want my girlfriend to be able to go hunting with me and not having to deal with all the other guys in a camper.

Been thinking of the tepui kukenam sky....
Southeastoverland in south Carolina also carrys it so shipping wouldn't be a problem

And probably either fab my own bed bars or buy some from relentless maybe?

Once it gets cooler I bet we could get some guys out to run a few trails up in North Ga and do some camping. We'd just have to plan it in advance so people can ask off or make arrangements

RTTs are clutch! Love mine for sure, I know there was some local guy selling his Tepui not that long ago. It may be easier and quicker to buy some bars

Checkout the Smittybilt ones- that's what I'm gonna get. All the same material and quality for the most part at half the cost.

Hit a tree right in the crease between front fender and driver side door. Had to replace the fender flare, fender and driver side door. He also had it done at a steelership if that makes a difference.

Are you thinking about Bennet? Green 1st gen?

I'll look into them, really like the thought of the sky fly things I can open and see the stars

This is the second story I have heard of someone doing body damage on Trey. I guess that goes to show you that damage can happen any time and any where

Keep an eye out on Craig's List and FB. I've seen a few rtt lately for sale.

I've heard mixed reviews on the smittybilt tents. Cost effective yes, but not as durable in holding up to rips and tears, or withstanding strong storms.

Well, my trucks at the dealer getting the frame replaced so it'll be awhile before I get to do any trail riding.

Has any of y'all 2nd gen guys done that power lock actuator repair? The thing where you open everything up and replace that tiny motor ($4) instead of the whole assembly ($300)

Thanks! I'll watch it after work today. I found an older write up here too that should help a bit. Hopefully between the two I'll figure it out.

On the same note, are mod/work days a thing here?

the idea of a mod day has been bounced around in here before, and I think it was brought up pretty recently. I'm not sure what was determined.
Maybe one of the other guys can chime in on this.

Cool. I figured this sorta repair isn't something I want to do in my apartment parking lot since the doors won't have any way to close once I start. Haha.
