Finally got my truck back just in time for the Red Clay Rally this weekend.. Now sporting a unique @Pelfreybilt bumper. Lots to do before Thursday, rewiring AUX fuse, re installing horns, hooking up headlights, hooking up and respooling winch in addition to packing and getting gear together.

 

thats a good bit of chores to bang out.
whats the overall plan for the bumper? cutting the other hoop off, or fabricating a new hoop for the driver side?

 

Insurance covered a new one- just waiting for it from Pelfreybilt.

Know anyone who wants a beat up Pelfreybilt that functions well?

 

Yep. bringing the whole fam along. Wife's not sold on it but I keep telling her "L A S E R S H O W"

 

How would you guys change the color of your wheels.

Not sure if powdercoat would be good. Doing 2 colors as well if it matters

 

I have used Plastidip and Duplicolor wheel paint... the Plastidip held up better than the Duplicolor. If I painted again I would use Rustoleum products. I'm too frugal to have my wheels powder coated, but I also want new wheels so would rather buy a new set then powdercoat.

 

I've seen good results here- when prepped and coated correctly. The impatient guys are obvious and their wheels look pretty bad.

 

I'm one of those guys....

Might buy me another set while I paint these and take my time

 

maybe find some old 1st gen wheels on CL. I see a bunch of them on there.

 

My dad is wanting some new wheels so I might take his old one when he gets them

 

I did plasti-dip, but if I was to do it again I'd probably use actual paint and cover the lip with some of that door trim stuff as a mask to get the same look.

 

Damn dude thats awesome that you're getting a new one. I'm sure somebody will buy it and just cut off the other hoop. Thomas said he'd take it if he had the same front end

First time getting the truck out of the city in my 2 months of owning it, taken at the top of a mountain in Pisgah National Forest in NC this past weekend. Truck performed great for being stock, and now I'm addicted.

Anyone around middle GA (warner robins/ byron here) that has a 3rd gen with factory tonneau cover? Wanting to take pictures and measurements of bed cap cut outs
