Thanks! Got my MESO turn signals put on today too. Moving forward. Also, snagged the OVtune this week. Lift will be done next year or so when the tires start to wear out.

Definitely looking a little sad in the back. I've all but made up my mind I'll be going with Dakar mediums depending on how well my current setup handles the trip with the RTT next weekend. ~2.75" of lift empty is higher than I want, but if I keep the RTT on like I'll probably end up needing to do, it'll bring that lift height down a bit. That Headstrong Offroad Dakar kit with the Leafs / Bushings / U Bolts / CB Drop / Free Shipping is a super good deal.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I was wondering when you were going to chime in. Why don’t you get those jammmers and let me know lol.

I am curious, the Pro model I have came with progressive rated springs. That being said the front is tuned with a shock and coil setup that is more plush than other models. So I want a set that will compliment the front, so when I hit stuff I don’t get that throw from the back.

If you look at the leafs (Icon vs Dakar) you can see the spring rates are lower on the icons (more thinner leafs), for this reason I thought they would compliment the fronts better.

Due to the fact my truck is stock, and I won’t be replacing the fronts at this time... I just didn’t want to over lift the rear.

    These are just my thoughts.

I'd bet the Icons will ride better than the Dakars just based on paper specs. My front shocks are already adjusted higher for more lift so I don't have the plushness of those factory Fox shocks you're sporting. Mine rides a bit stiff on the day-to-day little bumps and road imperfections, but soaks up the big stuff like it isn't even there. The rear Icon 3 leaf AAL is plenty plush, though.

Do you mind measuring the distance from the truck frame to the outermost portion of the sliders? Primarily at the driver’s entrance/exit area if you don’t mind sir!

I have had the Falken Wildpeak AT3W for almost 10k miles now and they have been awesome tires. Wearing well, road noise not bad, good down to 15 psi so far, and have tackled every type of terrain in the south east from sand to rock and clay.

We got to get some sort of list view for this Classifieds. How the hell do you guys figure out what’s for sale in your local area, and what’s been sold on here.

Sorry for my ignorance, I am new to this forum...I used to ih8mud.

For instance if you go to this link, you can view each item as its own thread.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/buy-sell-trade-other.35/
We should have the Classifieds for Ga set up this way, so we can see a list of Items: FS, FT, Sold and Location helps

    Thoughts?

That would require creating a whole forum just for us- doubt the mods will do that.

None of y’all happen to be friends with a service manager at a Ford dealer are y’all? 10k in and it already makes a super short funky noise in the morning when I let up off the gas. I don’t think it’s anything dire, but I’d probably want it looked at since it’s still under warranty.

    I miss my Taco. Hahaha.

Nope, but I bet you'll be friends with one now that you own a Ford.

I just moved to the Newnan area from Maryland (Born and raised in Alabama). I'm assuming the good trails are going to be mostly in northern GA?
I'm going to start scoping out the Marietta or Alpharetta area to move to next. If anyone has any advice pertaining to that it would be appreciated.

All stock right now. I have a Fox Level 2 ready to install but I'm waiting until I want to buy new tires to throw it all on.

Welcome! Nice rig, I work in Alpharetta and houses are super expensive. Marietta isn't bad just watch out what areas you live in. Most of the "good" trails are gone, with only 1-2 that are fun/challenging while the rest are glorified FS roads. Head to TN if you want a challenge. Check out the first post on this thread and get plugged in!

I'll also cast my vote for the Dakars pack. I've been very pleased with mine both loaded and unloaded. The rear is a little higher than i like unloaded, but you get used to it quickly. Fair warning, I hear that all Dakar packs squeak. Mine do, but only during season changes.

I'm officially in the area and on the hunt for a house. Mainly looking in the Suwanee/Buford and surrounding areas. I've been driving a LOT lately checking out houses, so keep an eye out for the Pyrite Mica 2nd gen with the Texas tags.

I've saved a few houses in Gainesville, but I'm thinking that might be too long of a drive. I found a few that I like in Buford today, which is a nice change from the junk that I've been looking at up to this point.

Could anyone recommend nice areas (to live) on the eastern side of ATL within 30 mins from the airport?

I was able to recover some pics of my old 2nd gen taco. I thought you guys would enjoy seeing it. I know some are going to ask, that is a 3m satin black wrap I put on there. After owning for a bit with the wrap, I don’t recommend it, plastic dip is much easier to deal with down the road.
Wish I still had it...but no looking back..onward!
