All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Ah hell, I did see a set of Toyo MTs on CL for a good deal as well. They were bigger than 32”

Any GA 3rd gen owners have experience with the OV Tune? I’m on the fence but my main hesitation is I’m clueless on how to actually perform the tune. I have read it’s easy, but I’m still not sure I’m comfortable doing it solo.

If you look on Facebook at “Toyota Tacoma 3rd generation/2016+“ a guy in the group is Matt Jolly I know he has one and is in Georgia and is always willing to help out. When I looked at one he offered to help me with it. Unfortunately the price tag kept me from getting it at this time.

I’m not on FB. Thanks though.
Yea pricing is certainly a factor.

I bought the original Ovtune when it first came out with the dongle and never got around to installing the tune. They have since came out with the dongle less version and have let me exchange the original for the updated version. Waiting on them to ship me a new one and will report back on hard it was to install.

Agreed. I'd like to get some real world butt dyno time as well.

I keep ECT on all the time and that has kept thing tolerable. Lately though I feel like its become more doggish in the midrange. I just had my 15k mile service done and had them perform the TSB and I don't really notice any difference.

I've been pseudo following the OVTune threads since the beginning. But have not committed due to several factors, but primarily because it seemed there has been a good bit of refinement still going on with the product.

I'll look forward to hearing your report. I didn't realize the newest version was now sans dongle.

After my recent ECU update, I was thinking that the pedal commander may help. My truck seems to shift much better. It’s really a pedal thing. Also I do drive mine using the bump shifter at times

Sweet. I’d love to take a ride if at all possible. Or at minimum pick your brain on how the install goes. I see myself adding the tube at some point in 2019, but I’m not comfortable with doing the install solo.

Install is super easy, no problem if you need a hand. I have the dongle version and it’s fairly painless once you get all the files you need from Ovtune.

I am. Also, I am visiting a buddy up in Roswell this am and found a store called Going Gear. If your anywhere near Roswell you should check it out.
Also - I got better deals on camping stuff at my house if you need anything. I worked as a Buyer for High Country outfitters for awhile, as well as my best friend owned an outdoor store. So I got stuff that should find another home.

More curious to hear if they had any Yakima RTT or hitch bike racks that had been returned.

I’ve got a Bell hitch rack that you can have for stupid dirt cheap if you want it.

I should have been more specific. I’m looking at hitch tray style rack. Pretty sure Bell doesn’t make one.

I actually get pretty decent discounts on the major brands. I’m just being cheap and waiting to see if I can pick a used one up from a similar garage sale event or on Craigslist.
