    If we go the eastern portion route of the traverse there's a lot more road sections and turns as opposed to the loop section we did last time.

    This is correct. Soon as you get out of the Cohutta heading towards Blue Ridge there are quite a few questionable turns and high traffic areas. Nothing to worry about, just making sure there was some sort of relay available as some turns can accidentally put you on private property. :bananadead:

    Was just looking at it and if tray mountain area is open that looks like a fun part to ride. We could camp out near blue ridge, i might go up Thursday night and then we could head on over towards tray mountain. Looks to have a good bit of unpaved section. Then wonder around there all of Friday and Saturday and then Saturday night make our way back towards Alabama. Sunday come home.

    Its about 5.5 hours to the tray mountain area from Birmingham.
