My friend filmed our beasley knob run and here are a couple still frames from the trip. It was fun. Some of the more technical trails I've been on.

I "accidentally" stumbled upon beasley knob in my 2wd truck once. Was NOT fun. Well, actually, it was a ton of fun, just 2wd ruined the fun.

Hope you had a good time! Any other pics/videos?

Yeah. It's on his I phone and I don't have an I phone. Plus you can't put videos straight on Tacoma world. You have to upload to YouTube or something like that and put the link on tacome world. There is some really crazy trails out there. Some that are just a rock garden of boulders. Definitely not 2wd friendly. Haha

Gotcha. I forget the name but theres a certain off-shoot from the open area where there were endless whoops, nearly high centered on every one. The boulder garden was not fun either, but momentum and poor judgement nearly got me through before I had to put it in neutral and get my friend to pull me back down the hill. In my defense, he convinced me to do it! :rofl:Almost made it.

Took my wife and youngest up to popcorn creek this weekend and did Turkey gap coming down it. There was pretty deep washouts along the trail. I want to go back and go up it.

I'm looking to take my kids out to do some lite mountain biking this weekend. Where are some good intro places in Northeast Georgia?

Paynes creek here in Hartwell is a good beginner mountain bike spot.

Talullah Gorge State Park, Chicoppee Trails, Stonewall/Whitetwister (in Tiger). Jack Rabbit is just north of Hiawasee in NC.
Possibly Lake Roswell WMA if it’s still open. The trails at the Gorge or Lake Russell will be the most beginner friendly of those options.

Thanks! Yes- Tallulah Gorge is about an hour's drive. That'd be great.

I motor by it pretty regularly in warm months. I didn't even know it was there. We usually stay at Tugaloo SP or across the channel at Hartwell SP.

    Hey Folks,

Been a while. Heading out to Clayton, GA Thursday 28-31 March out to WarWoman Creek to get away. All are welcome.

If not there, Sandy Fords will be the spot.

Nothing crazy but I’m taking a buddy to 5313 to stretch out the suspension and have a little fun on Saturday morning (June 1) if anyone wants to come along.

Gonna do a little tune session in the parking lot real quick beforehand if anyone has a need too (tune at 9, ride at 10?).
Y’all holler if you want to take your truck out to play.

Do you mean 5313 forest service rd? If so the one near beasly knob or cashiers NC? I can't go because I'll be in south Georgia. Just asking for other people really.

I live about ten minutes away from 5313. Went there for the first time about a month ago. Small, but fun park.
