That’s at the Sandy Ford on the Chattooga River. We were just there for our last planned camping trip. Was super fun!

Oh ok. I’ve been there a bunch of times. We used to drive across the Chatooga until someone told us it was a huge fine if you get caught

Yup, you can. I have seen people get a ticket when I was a river guide.
I have mixed feelings about it myself. As in, if it were my property and I caught people rolling thru my fishing hole, they better get moving quick. It’s a slippery slope when it comes to land preservation and what constitutes as destruction.
A few routes I used to enjoy have been used by big ass trucks, ain’t nothing going thru those trails anymore except 44s or a tractor. These are trails near my mtn house that just got abused, which is what happens when your dealing with backwoods.

 

Game plan for this Friday will be to head up from Jasper and be at the Charlie’s Creek trail head around 11:30am if anyone wants to join. Should be back at Hiawassee Brew around 1:30-2pm.

 

What up my peeps! I wanted to share a vid of my buddies truck that just got finished. He bought the same truck I did a couple years ago, and started to build it. Well 2 yrs later here it is getting some!

1) Camping trip - Dec 20-22. Location - Sarah’s Creek Campground

2) Wheeling trip- Dec 27-29. Location options - AOP, Coppinger Cove, Windrock

If you to windrock anytime soon watch your self. My cousin broke down in his XJ and it was stolen before they could get it out.( he had to leave it and report back to base. So his mom and some family where trying to get it) it was stolen stripped of lights and batter before it was taken to a junk yard. They got it back and they know who took it. From what I have been told is he hangs around Windrock quite a bit.

This is something I hear about happening way too much!! I’ll try and never leave a truck or atv/UTV up in the mountains. Good chance you will come back the next day and it be stripped or burned to the ground. Also if anyone stays at hotels in the area take what you can in.( coolers and tools) I also see trucks and trailers getting stolen over night at hotels.

 

Got tremor locks for that very purpose.
Messing with my stuff is a big no no.
Gonna loose an eye for that
