This has got to be one of the most beautiful and properly built 2.5 gens I’ve seen... I just moved from ATL to Huntsville but I try to keep tabs on this forum... maybe we’ll link up some day!!

Ooo ya!!! The engine would explode if I wasn’t re geared. I’m sitting with 4.88’s plus supercharged. Honestly I wish I had the next step up in gears. A 37in tire is really pushing the limit with these trucks. Just keep that in mind.

Thank you. It’s a fun truck that’s for sure. Gas mileage is a bit of a bitch though. And yes for sure.

I would think that this is an upgrade from El Paso. Granted, I've never been there....but it is definitely an upgrade from Midland area...

Anyone want to join me doing the Georgia Traverse May 28-31 for memorial weekend? I'm coming up from Florida and need a group to join for my first time doing the trail.

    taking recommendations.

We have babysitters (a.k.a. grandparents) coming into town and are giving us a night away from kids. Wife wants to go camping. Prefer a reasonably long hike to a waterfall with free primitive camping sites. A fire ring somewhere along a river is also a bonus.

I may try for the one at the end of Chestnut Mountain Rd that I recommended a few pages back, but was hoping to find something closer.

Hells ya!! I get about 13 if I take it easy. When the RTT is off it’s a lot better. Did you do the IPT valve body up grade for the transmission by any chance?

Anybody been on Sheep Wallow or Flatlands in the last couple years? Interested in checking them out but hard to find any recent info/trip reports

Been to Sheeps a few years back and it was a shit hole, super muddy and not fun. Flatlands has been closed for about a year or so, sucks was easily the best trail in GA

Nice, that’s what I’m averaging too when I’m loaded down:rofl: I’m on stock gears and 34’s currently. Premium fuel ftw :annoyed: Here’s my current setup:

Haven’t done the IPT valve body but I did do the Ratiotek kit a couple years ago.

That's a bummer, some of the older videos I saw it looked fun. I did find a video posted a couple weeks ago of some jeep guys doing Flatland, maybe its been reopened?

Possibly or they were on it illegally, there may or not have been a sign saying it's closed. Best bet is to check the national forest site or call them to ask what roads are open and which ones are closed. Only way to not get in trouble and get some actual answers

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Better off SC, so your power is linear. Boost is only gonna help ya when your in it...and wheelin when your in it breaks things.

Gas crisis has changed our plans. We had decided to do the exact route that I recommended a few pages back and start from the NC side. Except we were going to do the 1.5 mi out and back hike to the falls before checking to see if the spot by the river was open. Turns out there are 6 or 8 other primitive camping spots that are free that can be accessed via hike from the main parking lot.

im pretty sure that’s the same thing. Sweet truck!! Definitely do the re gear. My last truck had 305’s which I think are close to 33 1/2 and I was running 4.11. That was decent match.
