Yep. Not enough time in the day, unfortunately. That just means that we'll have to go back!

HI Folks - just introducing myself here. I'm Steven in Alpharetta and looking to get started with some North GA off-roading. I took a 4x4 class, getting a steel bumper (fab fours hidden winch bumper) + winch (warn evo 8s) installed this week, and looking to tag along with some folks who can share advice. I'm free on many weekends (when my daughter doesn't have soccer) but I don't know where to go yet.

Would anyone have interest in doing a tour of breweries?

Even better if we can do a trail and then a brewery. Maybe once a month we have a meet at a brewery?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Welcome Steven!

Trail riding with celebratory beers at the end is always a great time. I’d be down for sure.

Welcome to TW! Check out a few of the other threads in here as well. It may be hot out right now so I tend to not to do much camping/mod days until it gets a bit cooler.

That'd be really fun to do. Kinda like Skottles and Bottles but a rotating brewery and just Tacos :D

You want a good Philly cheesesteak go to Woodys in ATL. Hands down the best I've had and I've been working in Philadelphia for the past 2 months

Anyone free this Saturday (8/14)? You pick the trail - I'll meet you wherever (not sure where to go). Just got a new bumper & winch for my Taco - pretty excited about it.

I think I picked out a trail and a brewery. I just need to figure out my next available weekend, which isn't this one (unfortunately). It will probably be Aug 28 realistically.

Nimblewill Gap Road. Apparently this road was graded back around 2010/2011, so it isn't near as rough as it was in some of the pictures in this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-sad-day-for-nimblewill-gap-old-bucktown-fs46.161914/

That said, I talked to someone in Dahlonega who said they have run it fairly recently and that it is a fun little trail. Estimated time to complete is about 2 hours, but they admitted that they don't normally pay attention to the time.

    Edit: map is a link

The person I spoke to said that a stock truck can handle it just fine.

That looks great! I have a ATL United game that 8/28 afternoon, but I'll add this to my list of trails to try.

It's relatively smooth, I've done it in a stock subaru outback. Can 2wd the whole main trail. Seen a stock outback come up Old Bucktown too (ends at the top of Nimblewill), though that was more impressive.

Good info to know. I've heard that it is still a fun trail. Any recent (ish) pics?

We do this route regularly. I took 5-6 members down it last December. The road is most exciting going up (heading east) in my opinion. Half of the road is dirt with exposed rock and the other half is just crush and run. Just checked my photo library and have nothing that is really worthy of showing off the road. The foliage is awesome in the fall though, several places to pull over and look over the canopy.
