Anyone up for a camping trip this weekend? I know I mentioned the Traverse a couple of weeks ago - I dropped the ball on that.

I could still do the Traverse if we want, or something closer in the mountains.

I'm looking at Sat-Sun and potentially Mon. The expected weather is cold and dry - great camping weather!

Had a little bit of an adventure yesterday with a buddy. Started out going up Grassy Gap, got about 70% of the way before a jeep stopped us and said we'd have to turn around. Apparently someone rolled their vehicle off the edge of the trail further up, and it took a long tumble down. No idea if they were dead/alive/injured, jeep guy said a wrecker truck was in the process of recovering the vehicle but the trail was very narrow where the wrecker was with no way around and the wrecker thought it would take all day to recover.

Proceeded back down Grassy Gap, and went around and up to the bottom of Flatland and drove up that. Not as muddy as I would have expected with it getting below freezing. I didn't have much trouble, my buddy learned why things like rock sliders and skid plates are good to have though! Smashed his rocker panel in 2 spots and the bottom of a door, dragged the low hanging part of the exhaust near the transfer case, and ripped part of his rear bumper off. I think he has some upgrades planned now lol

Went up to the Chattanooga area for @Stormpeacock Tacomies and Friends.

@Stormpeacock reflashed my truck with an updated tune and I have to say, it’s never performed so well. Incredibly smooth and strong power band. Just happy in every scenario we threw at it and great on the highway.

We were greeted with some wonderfully gloomy weather on the trails!

Went on a long ride and camping trip with several of my veteran boys and was able to snag this shot thought it was pretty sweet with the fog

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

    Some nice updates in here.

Glad you got out safely. Hopefully the jeep driver and any passengers were okay.

Reading stuff like this always makes me happy that I have sliders and skid plates, but I don't know that I've ever really used either. I know my sliders saved me from a tree once...and multiple door dings...but other than that, I must just not be doing it right.

I've been kind of avoiding it because I don't want to do anything that will have negative long term effects. I plan to keep my truck til the wheels fall off, but I do wish it had more power. I may have to jump on the @Stormpeacock train and get a toon at some point.

I'm right there with you, no plans on ever selling the thing. Rich originally tuned it just about a year ago and I've had zero reliability issues, just more usable power. Recently updated the tune and smoothed out an area I requested for me and my new gearing.

Go for it, I promise you wont be unhappy.
