In the process of swapping over new coils, I discovered the ball joints on both LCAs are leaking. Might have to give up my spot as I don't want to be a liability on the trail. We'll see if I can carve time out in the coming weeks to inspect further and determine if I need to replace the BJs.

 

It’s easier to get a new LCA from Rockauto for like 73$ than mess around with BJs IMO. I’ve done my driver and pass this way. Moog LCAs. Requires alignment of course.

If you have the time and press then I guess the BJ itself wouldn’t be too bad.

 

Definitely! That's my plan, but I want to make sure the BJs are actually bad and not just spewing grease before I go through the trouble. Steering feels fine and aside from the grease there haven't been any signs indicative of a failing BJ. Appreciate the input!

 

I'm planning on camping down at Lake Cle Elum that weekend so I may head up the trail and run into you guys if you are up there.

Buy the LCAs and throw them in your trail toolbox. Run the others until they're actually bad.

It's the girlfriend's birthday that weekend so it's her call what we do. She wanted to go camping with friends at Lake Cle Elum but they bailed so I'm not sure what we are doing now

 

I already gave my spot up from the first 7. The fiance is gone that weekend for bachelorette party. Me and Coop will be chillin, fishin, or something local, not sure I'm ready to take him up there and break my truck with him just yet. That reminds me, I need to find a life jacket for a 7month old. Is that even a thing?
