    It’s a Tacoma not a time machine.

Duh... the Delorean was the time machine. The Toyota truck was the dream vehicle.

Forward I love it so far. I killed it twice trying to back outta the shop last night because it bites so hard even with the heavyweight flywheel. I think it’s just more of I’m used to where the old clutch engages and disengages and reverse in the second gen is like warp speed on 35’s. Letting out forward it’s feels a little more bite but smooth shifting up through the gears. I didn’t do anything crazy just drove to the store for a celebratory ice cream sandwich and back to put about 20 miles on it. The hydro bering fells softer and has move the action closer to the floor. It used to engage and disengage about mid way now it’s down around the bottom 1/3 but super easy and butter smooth. I probably bleed a half of quart through it gravity and pressure bleeding it before driving it.

Great to hear. Bite is a lovely thing. Great to hear.

Wrap speed reverse always sucks though.

Hopefully someone has a hydrobearing for the 3rd Gens someday.

I have probably 60k on mine and knock on wood no leaks. I bought the seal kit to replace them but only did the easy dust seal one. The o ring is pretty deep in there and figured I would probably cause more problems opening it up than leaving it the fuck alone and if it starts leaking deal with it then. It’s like a one piston brake with a bering on the face. Looked like I would have to press it apart. I chickened out.

Smart move, IMHO. I did more harm than good when I swapped the seal when we installed the diff bushing. Over drove it just a hair to be plumb and ended up fluid filming the underside.

They don't call me Three Time tony for nuthin'.

Just washed mine for the first time since the trip. Had to take the leaf blower to the inside to clear the dust out a little before cleaning it out. My passenger side bumper cap also was a casualty of the trip down
