Looking at a set for black Friday sale and need to confirm something.

I was trying to setup a time for a rebuild on my king coil over shocks and mention to my guru at the off-road shop, I want these BTF LCAs.
He looked at BTF website said with my current JBA HD high caster UCA with 3° already built in, going with high caster LCA pushed forward the 3/4", its going to push my alignment numbers into to 5.5-6° range making self return to center on steering non existent and very heavy on hand feel to steer.
He also said that there may likely be contact between the rack tie rod to the king lower coil mount area at lock to lock steering.

Any buddy with high caster UCA along with BTF LCAs confirm all this or have ideas?

    Cheers

I'm already at 5.0/5.0 caster with the Camburgs and OEM LCAs (and getting some rubbing at around 3/4 lock with 35x10.5s), so that's exactly the kind of concerns that I have.

You will be in the 5.5-6° range but that makes self centering better than say 3° not worse. It’s not enough to cause a heavy steering feel. I have run 8-10° on several street driven trucks with no ill effects and up to 14° caster on dirt only trucks. It makes them go straight.

I haven’t had any feedback about tierod to lower shock mount/coil contact but that could be a concern for sure, but I haven’t had that come up yet.

Thank you for the info Brandon.

I use my truck for daily driver, weekend fire roads and into some pretty secluded camp spots. We also do a yearly 6week overland trip with 10,000km of hwy and about 3,000km of mix back road/engaged 4xing.

The truck needs to be a 80-85% on road & 15-20% off road rig with no ill effects.

    Looking at running a 34x10.5 tire-ish.

If you sold a few of these LCAs with no negative feedback, perfect. If you have guys your in contact with or maybe they are on TW and will chime in here, I'm all ears, much appreciated.

We’ve sold over 100 sets of them.

This is with our upper and lower at around 5.5-6° caster.

All but one set of the current batch are spoken for, I’ve got more coming in from laser hopefully in a week or so, so to be safe, I’d say around 6-8 weeks before I could get them cycled through and Powdercoated.

I have heard yet either. Hope he hasn't forgotten about us.
Maybe it's a black Friday to cyber Monday deal he's whipping up because it's mid black Friday now and nothing on his site for us TW peeps too.

I did the 10% at BTF too. Not much of a discount bc of the price hike.

How about an extra set of bushings to make up for it? Lol.

Did you guys try calling to see if he was going to honor the prior price with the black Friday deal for TW members or ???
That would put you around $1520 USD
It's to bad @BTF Brandon didn't chime in here with a TW members code.
