Did the steering stops cut dig into the arms? I see she’s kinda beat up where it hits.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Just read through the whole thread. Call me crazy, but if you are paying that much for a product I think it's completely unacceptable that during the course of completely normal everyday driving you put giant gouges in the finish. I understand the majority of the people who are purchasing these will probably put gouges in any way from being on the trails but if someone lives in the rust belt and just wanted some nice lower control arms to help fit some bigger tires I think it's terrible that the coating will be compromised immediately from normal driving.

I think he got the big gouge’s from the steering stops not trimmed.

Yeah, in hindsight I guess I thought about it more and if you are going the route of aftermarket lower control arms I guess having to trim the steering stops shouldn't be a complete surprise although it still sucks that it's necessary

Yeah; that's the topic right now. Fair price for bad ass lca's but you gotta trim factory limit steer piece.
Why not just box that lil section; head it? and place a small threaded bump stop where it meets the lca. Just like the threaded lca bump stop, but with those poly red or black bump stops. The boxing and threading would keep water from getting all inside the lca. Maybe just the small boxed area. Just a thought since it's all boxed in anyway. I just don't know how strong it would be doing so??? Just a thought tho??

    I agree.

Definitely some type of pad, stop, stainless pad welded on with some 309L or even the head of button Allen bolt.
Just grind off the factory stop and the new landing area on the arm is treaded so it can be shimmed to a person's liking for steering limit.
I would purchase a set now if it can have a proper landing area that won't gouge, indent, and rust in the future.

So here's my idea of what to do with the steering stop issue. Shave it down, drill and tap it, then with some thread lock, thread the stop in and now you will no longer scuff, rub, dent, or ruin a bad ass lca..... Just my thoughts tho???Screenshot_20230915_113015_Samsung Internet.jpg

Damn, I that isn't truck porn?!?!?!
So I just found out Solo Motorsports has also built lca's with a full 1" forward ball joint movement, and come with a uniball lower ball joint replacement.

Is the BTF riveted logo in a new location being used for a steering stop?
If so, it looks riveted on and that would mean replaceable once all beat up. Correct?

    Lookens good on your rig.

    Stock-ish
Much lower ground clearance, uniball instead of a balljoint which sucks for a street driven rig
