I always prefer to read the books, but since I never did, and I'm into season 4 now...

Pointless, really. The fact that i have seen so much of what happens will kill the books for me. Dammit.

i didnt listen to the books until after i watched the first season. it was neat/disappointing to know the changes they've made from the initial story.

I don't see anything happening between Baelish and Lady Stark. She is married to Tyrian after all. It was a legal wedding in a church. You know how these people are with their 7 gods and all. Not saying that he won't try to push the matter, but I don't think Lady Stark would agree to being married to two people at the same time. Just my opinion on her.

I'm not her biggest fan, but she gained a lot of respect for me when she picked up the cup for Tyrian in the second show this season. That shows her character is getting better. Of course some people already know what will happen because they have read the books. Please don't spoil it for us! lol.

    one word....BOOKS!!!! lol

EDIT: honestly though, they are holding true enough to the source material that there is no need for speculation.

The thing is, while I do love to read (I am working on 6 at the moment) Since I am already watching the show, I don't want to spoil the show by reading the books. It's just like those who watch a movie, then read the book and are disappointed. So I am willing to wait to see what happens.

sooooo much wrong w/ last night's episode. granted, some of the story lines would be boring as hell if they stuck to the book plots.

My wife has read the books and is a die hard fan. To the point where she is almost pissed they made the stories 'main stream' with the show.

She was very upset with last nights episode. Yet when we watch the walking dead and I get that way about details she tells me I'm stupid.

Very interesting how the white Walker took the baby, placed it on the alter just to give it to another white walker...

NOPE. jon never knew that brann was still alive. they went north and never looked back. fat sam kept his mouth shut. i also dont recall them ever going back to craster's to get the killers.

melisandre (sp) was not on the episode last night. i think he's talking about renly/joffre/tommen's wife.

ceremonial i suppose (i dont recall this from the books)
