I think that's what really killed the season. Was way too rushed with everything. Dumb & Dumber just wanted to cash in on StarWars, so we'll see how shitty they make it

I agree 100%. I'm happy with what took place over the 6 episodes but it really should've been a full 10 episodes with one more season at least. They should've dealt with the NK in Season 8 and then in Season 9 dealt with Cersei she dies in episode 7 or 8 then have a full episode of dealing with Dany and a final episode of epilogue or something that

I wanted to see Dany actually break the wheel like in Slavers Bay/Mereen. All she had to do was kill Cersei and the civilians would've been happy because of how much they hated Cersei. I will say that when Drogon nudged her to see if she was okay, it was a sad scene. Just like something in the real world when a pet loses its owner

 

I havent read the last few pages but I will say that the final episode was satisfactory.. nothing more, nothing less..

I like the way things played out and it was certainly a deep episode. More importantly, I love that it left the viewer drawing thier own conclusion as how thngs were going to play out.

With all that being said, I think season 8 could have been so much more, but I am not a writer and wont pretend that I could have written things any better. at least it didnt end like Lost

Yep, thats the reason I didnt go back in the thread and catch up..

Now im excited to see the prequel that is coming out.

I still think that the end of the episode should have been Tarley writing a book called "game of thrones" recapping the series for the history books. "fire and ice" was too hokey for me

 

I have to ask (since I am horrible at reading into things)... I dont quite understand what Jon did...

Jon was sentenced to the nights watch at castle black. I thought the nights watch was no longer a thing. So did Tyrion suggest that as Jons punishment, knowing that the unsullied wouldnt actually know the difference, and then Jon could just be in the north where he wanted to be all along? Or did he decide to abandon his "sentence" and the nights watch, and just move along with the wildlings?

(sorry, i know there are a lot of spelling errors up there...)

 

They knew Jon would be a free man and that's where he's always belonged. Tyrion did tell him that he will father no children because his son would be the true heir to the throne and could start this entire war all over again.

 

See, that makes TOTAL sense, but I never even thought that was the reason for no children...

 

I know that it'll never feel the same re=watching the series after seeing that ending though for sure
