    Yes, I believe this is true. Targaryens inter-married, causing abnormalities, such as the Mad King's insanity, as well as Tyrion's dwarfism. John and Daenerys were simply lucky to be "normal."

    Touche. It was not quenched in the blood of his wife, but the idea (at least) of the sword has been in the series. Remember when berrick fought the hound and lit his sword on fire? And I think davos' pirate buddy (can't remember his name) also told Davos the legend.

    Ha oh. No I never thought about it. I used to watch this show by myself with no outside knowledge of the books. Now I watch with this guy who read the books so he fills me in on everything. He said in the books the targaryens have purple eyes and that Tyrion is described as having one purpleish eye. :notsure:

    I never get on anything to read about it before it comes on. I like to be surprised.

    That said, I figured since there was so much action and fighting and death last week, tonight will be slower. Just my guess. Could be wrong.
