That's what I was thinking, which is why I went to read the brief description they give. I think given that this season is only 7eps instead of 10 that they are likely to all be better and not have those slow boring eps like in past seasons that pointlessly dragged on storylines. It also helps with Dany on the right side of the sea too, her storylines on the other side were so damn boring just killing time until she could cross

 

Good ep. Next week looks awesome.

Should be good till the end of the season I think. So much to cover and so little to do it. And damn Sam for not paying attention to Gilly. The Truth is out there.

 

Hopefully she grabbed that book and will keep reading

 

Good episode, but super slow compared to last week...that was expected though right? I mean what could live up to last week's episode?? Not complaining still just stoked about last week haha. I enjoy seeing the story lines progress.

I dont remember him calling him his bastard. What episode was that?

 

Did anybody catch the preview for next week? What's up with berrick being able to make his sword "flame on" at will? Shit was pretty cool, but the last time we saw him fight with a flaming sword I think he put oil on it and dipped it in the camp fire. I'm kinda wondering what other powers and/or knowledge he's gained since we saw him fight the hound.

 

After reading it, and putting that together with the look on his face when Arya came out of his room I'm deducing a few things.

He knows Arya is dangerous and alot more than she appears so he meant for her to see that, because he knew she was following him, and his intention is to drive a wedge between her and Sansa. With Arya and Sansa close to each other, it weakens any influence he still has on Sansa. But with distrust and sibling rivalry between them, especially with arya's newfound strength, Sansa will be more willing to take his "advice." He would have known that Sansa was forced to write that letter because he was on the small council when all that shit went down. It was a calculated move.

 

So do you guys think that Jon will find out that danierias is his aunt before or after he bangs the shit out of her?

 

On S.1 E.6​

 

That was another great episode! Where last week had a lot of action, this week had a lot of story to catch up on. And boy were there a lot of tidbits of information given to the viewers last night.

We all guessed right with Bronn being Jaime's savior from hot dragon death. I enjoyed the back and forth banter shortly after, with Bronn basically telling him that he will abandon King's Landing should the Daeny's army with dragons descend upon it. Bronn is only loyal to the big payout he's expecting, he's not going to die for Cersei's whims.

Welp, Cersei is pregnant. Jaime looked happy... but hard to enjoy that news knowing their end is almost inevitable. When Cersei announced that news, I thought back to her prophecy of dying by someone she loves. Could it be the baby that causes her death? It would be kind of ironic but it wouldn't have the same impact as if it were Arya killing her. Also interesting to note that now she knows the truth about Joffrey, and gave a little reflection on her treatment of Tyrion for blaming him. I don't know if that information will go any further or change anything, but it's nice to have it known.

Poor Sam, all alone now and he doesn't even know it. And he left before the news was even reported to him. Also, Gilly was just about to reveal the legitimacy of Jon's birth when reading out the secret, yet official annulment and marriage of Rhaegar and (most likely) Lyanna Stark. That would make Jon the legitimate heir to the Iron throne. Even before Daeny, I believe. But unfortunately we didn't get to hear the rest. Like others have said, hopefully she took that book with her when the left. Maybe he really is the "prince that was promised", Azhor Azai.

Drogon got friendly with Jon. The dragon knows. Jon is the only other person to be so intimate with Drogon, if only for a brief moment. IIRC, I believe Tyrion was also able to touch one of the dragons without being roasted on the spot. That could be a wink and a nod towards his origin too.

The return of Gendry was great too. I like how he was upfront with Jon and already seems to be a fast friend. Much like their fathers, but the roles are switched with Jon potentially being the king once all is said and done.

And finally, the motley crew led by Jon exiting the gate at Eastwatch for a little ghoul-napping. That plan seems terrible, but I guess there's no other way to get back definitive proof of the army of the dead and the Night King. Can't wait for everyone's reaction when the walking dead is delivered to Cersei!

 

I was trying to determine if this made Jon the legit heir or not. I still think it doesn't since it was the king's brother and not the king, right?

Oh, yeah that could be huh? Then he comes after Daeny then, since she is the child of the king. If she was killed, Jon would be the rightful heir at that point.
