Well, if you want to play the high end games on a PC you should make sure you dont go cheap where you need it most.

Video Cards: Gotta have a good video card, dont get anything that says Intel Intergrated Graphics or AMD built in. A good card will have 1+ GB of RAM on it. Some examples (SLI means 2 cards btw)

Entry level: nVIDIA GT 540M, GTX 650, GTX 550
Mid level: GTX 660, GTX 560
    Performance: GTX 670M, 680M, GTX 570M, GTX 580M
    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of-Laptop-Graphics-Cards.130.0.html

RAM: Make sure you have at least 4G of RAM if you want to run multiple applications. 12G is a bit excessive, but I would say 6-8 would be good. I have 8 personally.

HDD: You want a Hard Disk that will spin quickly, 7200rpms or more. You can spend the extra $$ and get a SSD (Solid State Drive) and it will fly, but they cost a ton. They also have Hybrid drives now, but I have not personally tried one.

Screens: Resolution counts, just like TVs have 1080p and 720p. 1920x1080 is about as nice as you can get right now. Glossy vs Matte is all preference, as Glossy will be nice and bright but with lots of glare from lighting. Matte is a bit duller, but you dont have to worry about reflection.

    Hope this helps some!

Asus. I have the G73 with the nvidia 460M overclocked to 560M specs. No issues, runs COD on full perfectly. Diablo 3 everything cranked, 30fps (But that's blizzards doing, not a fault of the laptop.)

You won't be disappointed in the Asus if you get one, I can promise you that.

I have been looking at getting a new laptop. I have a cheap toshiba thats about 4 years old. Was first looking at macbook pros, then decided if I am spending that kind of money and I would rather have a fast gaming computer too.

I have a m15x and it has been a bit troublesome. No catastrophic failures, but it certainly doesn't run like it used to. I wasn't too pleased with its gaming capabilities either. If I were to do it again, I would try an ASUS laptop.

Exactly. Nice fast computers, but I might as well put all the money toward something that I can play games on. I have never had a good gaming computer before, always had issues trying to play games

They are definitely decent, but certainly over-priced. I had terrible luck with their support, and Dell drivers were a bitch to get off their site. I also have an alienware desktop that has served me well, no complaints. But again, for laptops, I wouldn't do alienware.

Ibuypower and Cyberpower are basicly the same company. You cant go wrong with either of them, and usually you can find some great deals. If you dont know much about computers tho, it can get overwhelming. They do use some cheap parts on their laptops sometimes, but they work great.
