How to close gaps between windshield glass and COWL seal?

Are these issues need to be fixed because water and dust could just go through the gaps?

The windshield is glued in with sealer. That’s cosmetic.

This exaclty. Windshield is held it with a special caulking that should be totally sealed from wind, water and debris. Any gap between that and the trim is cosmetic and doesn't harm the integrity of the truck.

i mean you could run sealant... but no need. just more work and mess for no gain with keeping anything out of the cab. id focus that on the 3rd brake light :p

My guess is that the aesthetics of car could have its own weight.

This owner filled the gap with silicone.
