Only long bed you can get with a manual is on an access cab. The double cab long bed is only available with an auto.

Yea that's tight. I'm assuming the spec from Toyota is bumper to bumper but it doesn't sound like it from what you guys are seeing..

I have a DCLB 2016 Inferno and a 20'x20' garage. It has a trailer hitch on it also. Talking about a tight fit, I have less than 1' total both front and back. I use a tennis ball and it works just fine. It was a learning curve getting the truck in and out of the garage. I have it down now. My garage is end load and the fence is only about 23' away so it is too tight to swing in on one try. I have learned to make it on 2 tries. It works though. I measured pretty closely before I bought the long bed and felt sure I could make it work. I just went and measured my garage - the length of the truck part - and it measures 19'-8.5" from the sheetrock to the edge of the garage door.

I was telling my wife about these posts and she said, "Did you tell them it is such a tight fit that I (my wife) won't let the garage door down anymore?"

Tell her to just use the reverse camera to make sure she's all the way in. Easy peasy.

@Oscar de Hey, so I had an idea of how to make it easier to make sure I'm deep enough into the garage, and it might be something to help you and your wife too coz I know you said it's a real tight fit in your garage. I was working on some more work benches and shelves today, and I had a few scrap pieces of wood left over. I am just going to take a couple of short 2x4 left overs and use Liquid Nails to stick them to the floor right in front of my front tires. That way when I am pulling into the garage I'll have a little "speed-bump" to give me some feedback of when to stop. Something like that might help your wife feel more comfortable pulling in to the garage. Just a thought, but I'll let you know how it works for me once I do it tomorrow :)

Just measured the garage and my future SR5LB will be an outsider. At 225+ inches it leaves no room for for my wife to get to her Rav. I see a remote starter in my future!

That's a great idea. My 2001 Dakota extended cab fit fine in my garage with the 6' bed. I was able to walk behind the truck with the door down. Specs for the DCSB are almost identical. Wish there was one around here I could test with.

I'm planning of building a garage so it can be any size within cost constraints. It seems that 20' to 22' is enough for the truck, but if a work 3' work bench is going on the back wall, leaving room for standing at the bench with the truck inside the garage, it would need to be about 28'. Can anyone confirm this?

How wide does the garage need to be to be able to open both doors all the way with some clearance for walking around the truck? I have a 2009 extra cab.
